Oh no! Tolerance? Harvest Aftermath

Well I picked up a quarter pound of some nice bud that my friend just harvested, and I just harvested my c99 to make it just that much better. This past week I smoked 21 grams of the bud that my friend gave me and 7 grams of my c99 that's a new record for me, at the beginning of the week I also bought a box of game grapes I am now 17 deep into that box. It's hard for me to explain how sick of them I am, yesterday I was rolling one and when I opened it I cringed and hen I licked it to seal her up I literally gagged smoking it was bad to the first hit I had to open the window and nearly puked. Now my tolerance is also super high I noticed I dont get high unless its top notch shit time to take a week off.

did you or your buddy properly cure the plants you each respectively grew? that effects potency quite a bit, maybe thats why its not doing it for you and you gotta smoke so much?

brownies may last 3x longer in high, but your stash will be gone 3x faster ;).

and his tolerance will end up being 10x worse than it was before this.

I just recommend you take a day off or slowly cut down... I can't seem to take a day off with my stash so I just take the cut down method.....

I've found that I've developed reverse tolerance. I'm smoking way less than when I started smoking my stash a few months ago. It just takes me one full bowl from my pipe and I'm wasted the whole night. I don't even bother rolling joints because I take one or two hits and I'm done.

that's how cannabis tolerance works, you haven't developed anything out of the ordinary, people just don't realize that less is more with cannabis.

Yeah it was all cured and dried nicely, don't get me wrong its really good better than a lot of bud around here I'm just sick of it and it doesn't do it for me, when I smoked the first gram of it I got really high so its defiantly good.

Haha yes I must smoke more!!!! No but I cut down for a week just a couple bowls a day

The receptors are more active when you use it less? So the receptors are LESS active when you smoke more? Wouldn't that mean you need MORE of the drug since the receptors are less active?

I'm not being sarcastic, i've never experience a reverse tolerance. I've always experienced a regular tolerance. The more I smoke, the more I need to smoke. One hit will not get me high because I smoke a couple grams of home grown a day. I get a drop in tolerance when I take a break; the longer the break the greater the reduction in tolerance. With no breaks though my tolerance continues to increase and I smoke more and more. Every single toker than I smoke with also consumes larger quantities. Some of these people have been smoking chronically for longer than i've been alive, and they still consume large quantities. Wouldn't they only need a single hit to get blazed since they smoke so much for so long? The only people I know that get baked from a single hit are non smokers, or infrequent smokers. Or its exceptionally high quality herb (but thats not what were talking about).

well I'll just make it simple and share my experiences and the experiences of everyone I know who is or was a heavy smoker.

at first the tolerance seems like you can get higher the more you smoke.

after a while this changes, and it takes a lot more to get where you wanted to be. then eventually you can't even get there anymore if your use continues to go up.

that's because the cannabinoid receptors automatically down-regulate (temporarily shut off) when there is excess use.

they come back in a few days and will be majorly active then you will get super high again.

there is plenty of scientific info on the subject if you really need something to lay it out for you solid I can link you up.

I dont know if there is science behind it .. but for me .. I find I develope hardly any tolerance .. if I always have a variety of strains... instead of getting a zip of 1 thing .. consider getting 1/4's of 4 different strains.. indica's hybrids and sativa's. I found this works for me .. especially after I had my back surgery and HAD to smoke everyday because of the pain leading up the surgery and my inability to sleep.

Could you clarify? You mean after a few days of not smoking, or with continues heavy use?

That's not reverse tolerance, that's regular tolerance. That would be like me saying alcohol has a reverse tolerance because I drank a lot for a long period, then I took a break, and when I drank again I got really drunk.

bottom line is the less you smoke the higher you get. doesnt make sence at first, but, you can lower your tolerance while still smoking everyday by simply smokeing less. like not smoking all day until night time, all you will need is a couple of rips and youll be stoned.

when we were youngsters my friends dad told us this "the less you smoke the higher you get" and we were like huh?! lol of corse he didnt explain himself he just let us figure it out on our own.
