No these are definitely fruit flies. Little red flying bastards. I've compared them to images on the internet and it's spot on. Fruit flies. I guess that makes me a ripe fruit? har har.
Well good luck with that. Those bitches fuck more than rabbits.

Used to get fruit flies in NC and you could tell the pregger ones from the non pregger.

Keep all food in fridge and keep battling.

I got a grapevine outside my back deck. In the summer the fruit fly's are bad.
vinegar inside a bowl with a plastic wrap top, poke holes , trap flys as already said.
keep a vacuum within arms reach at the badspots, suck them up when they become active.
Its a process and takes awhile to get a handle on them

I use one of those thumb tack thingies to poke the holes. Maybe the holes are too small? I've yet to find a single fly floating in them. I've scrubbed this house from top to bottom and they still keep showing up. WTF?

All fruit stays in the fridge and the ones that aren't are kept in one of those green plastic bags that preserve fruit. All food is put in containers and stored in the fridge or cupboards. Any leftovers are given to the pets or left as offerings outside. I'm going to neo's method and use a toothpick with apple cider vinegar. I've been using wine vinegar.

Get rid of any fruits, standing water, and check your garbage cans or recycle bins and make sure those are clean. If you have anything rotting or molding it needs to go. Fruit fly traps do work but it takes time.
Search high and low for any dishes that may have any old food or drink... milk or cereal old anything. It takes a lil time but they will vanish. Also any low grout lines with standing water, under your sink... there is something that started the mess find it eliminate it and you win. Trust me I am a professional... hell if you want pm me and I'll give you phone number and we can try to get rid of them. Again I do this shit for a living

i have had several infestations, usually in the summer. once i find their little hangouts i can usually put a leash on it.

some things that have kept them to a minimum are moth balls and pouring ammonia and bleach in the trash and other fly hangouts. my place stunk like hell but there were noticeably fewer of them. bonus with the trash is that the cats and raccoons leave the trash alone.

i went so far as to start freezing a lot of my biodegradable trash in grocery bags until trash night. all of my trash that couldn't fit in the freezer got double and triple bagged in grocery bags. EVERYTHING must be rinsed well, especially if you recycle.

there has to be hot spots. for me it was the trash and the sink drain, but you have that covered. any loaves of bread, trash with aroma, bleach your WHOLE sink often, bleach any dish strainers or anything else that gets left wet. i don't have a dishwasher but if you have one of those bleach the fuck out of it, under it, etc. once you find their favorite spots (the fucking places with the plume of bugs when you set something down) you can set them on the road to ruin.

i get worked up just thinking about them. they are really fucking annoying.
