Odor control?

Just have AG in small room. Hoping to get 7 little ladies flowering so in apartment, need odor control. What's the best: Ionizer with ozone, activated carbon or something else. On ground floor so don't want other tenants getting the jungle effect as soon as they come in:) Any suggestions?

Let me start by saying I have an Ionizer with ozone, but I got it back in 1994. Before they "fixed them". I think mine works but, general consensus is the newer models don't work for us.
Now activated carbon filters works.

IMO,... fuck ozone gens.

To control oder, you NEED to have a negative vacuum in your grow room. I too am in what amounts to an apt, all be it the top floor, bottom line neighbors close by, so i know what you're dealing with. A proper carbon filter is what you need, and don't skimp on some shit ass DYI one that'll work for a few months! For my roughly 12'x12' grow room i use one Can33 Filter, it lasts a year to 18 months, and i under pump its recommend flow rate to keep it lasting even longer, then i change it every year anyway. I use two 12V inline fans that both hit about 100CFM, (i use 2 incase one ever dies), you can't EVER have odor noticeable, especially if you're not legal. And i pump the clean smelling air OUT of the grow room up into the attic. This is what gives you the negative vacuum. After i was done installing my shit, i did a fog/smoke test at the bottom of the doors to my grow room, i wanted to see the fog sucked under the door, and i did. This tells me there is a negative vacuum, and ALL the little cracks around windows and doors will suck fresh air in, not ever let stink out, which is what you NEED 24/7/365. Some say you gotta exchange the air so often and what not, i think thats BS personally, if you create a negative vacuum, nothing bad is getting out, and you're in control of the air that does leave. Maybe think of piping into your dryer exhaust hose and sending the clean air up to the roof too, you can never be too safe.

PS:
If you're for any reason blowing air into your grow room, that means you will be blowing stink out of every crack around doors, windows, and vents in the room. You would have to pump more air out through the carbon filter, then you're blowing in, in order to achieve a negative vacuum in the room.

PPS:
I also sealed off the vents to my grow room as well, if your home AC or heater kick on, and you pump massive amounts of air into your grow room, no more negative vacuum in said room, and well guess where the stink goes? lol

I could have a dozen of the stinkiest plants ever (and i do) as well as a dozen dead bodies rotting in my grow room (i don't, yet), and as long as theres a little negative vacuum in the room, cops on the other side of the door would have no clue. Drug dogs?.. i don't know, they scare me, lol

Cops will not smell, drug dogs I afraid will!
But look at it this way, if you do everything mentioned, the "Man & his dog" will not show up! They don't just send the dog out unless there is a complaint. Know what I mean.
It's not time to get paranoid yet, you haven't even started yet. Paranoia comes later!

Thanks for the advice...I live in the Yukon, Canada so I'm not worried about cops busting down my door...LOL! Not paranoid, just don't want anyone questioning what's going on. The building is small and we're the only renters, the rest are owners in a small building. I found a good link to a large grow guy using Odor Neutralizing Agent (ONA) in a homemade fan set up. I can't exhaust the room as the next building is 15 feet away from this one, and we are on the ground floor. I used to have an old Ozoner that worked but stupidly gave it away. Now the regulations have made them almost useless. I think I'm gonna get me a "PEPPER" instead!!!

dude,... you're a fucking idiot. lol.. I type you all that, and you wanna use ONA like some kids growing in pc box, lol
If you buy a real Can carbon filter, and don't over flow its CFM rating of it, it wouldn't matter if you exhausted the air into your landlords fucking bedroom. They wouldn't be much good if the air they processed was smellable now would they? If you think you're going to seal the smell of 7 plants into a room, or think ONA and a fan is somehow going to work, you might as well go get fitted for an orange jump suit right now.

What kind of heat & air do you have, forced air? If so, you have an exhaust! Just hook up one good carbon filters with an inline fan into the duct work.
Of course another Pepper would work also!

Wow, been a while since I've been called a fuckin' idiot! Thought my ex-wife had the term cornered:) LOL We have electric baseboard heating so I've go no where to send it. When I go in the room (Spare Bedroom), my vacuum is shot. I need to filter in the room and exhaust in the room. So if an Ionizer air purifier won't work, then what? I can't create the vacuum required. Keep the insults to a minimum here please.....

I call everyone a fucking idiot at some point, don't take offense, lol
I grow in my spare bedroom too. If you're going to have 7 plants in there (been there), i feel you need a proper carbon filter and a negative vacuum. Maybe a room inside the spare bed room to create the vac needed. See i have a separate veg and flower area in my grow room. Now i have a neg vac in the whole room since I'm pumping air out of the room, but my veg tent is where my Can carbon filter is actually located (i out it there since it's warmest there, so the air i pump out is warmest and that helps the overall grow), anyways point being, the tent walls to my veg room suck inward. If you create the same kind of tent in a room, and pump your clean our out of the tent and into your room, that might work too. I wouldn't be scared to cut a 4" hole through a wall that gets you to your dryer vent though. It ain't hard to replace/paint a whole in drywall when you move out. A whole room neg vac will allow for expansion down the road if you're not stuck in a tent, and sending the air you pump out to the top of the roof of an apt complex is always best, further away the better.

My two little babies (out of the first 4) at two weeks since seed. Taken yesterday and actually have another set of leaves since yesterday. Following the AG directions for tomatoes except for 20/4 lighting on timer. Looking good:)Laverne_&_Shirley_14_days_old_001.jpg

One more thing to remember is that if you have a gas furnace or gas water heater Gas dryer negative air pressure could be a problem. Your plants will like it but you may not wake up.

Electric Baseboard only with an air exchange system (draw in fresh from outside, send old air out). No smell yet unless I touch the leaves and then oh my....skunky!!! Growing like crazy.

Yukon: some of those ozone generators are dangerous around us oxygen breathing people. Have you thought about a fan and a carbon filter? I invested in a Can Fan and an Elf Charcoal Filter and it keeps the smell of my six plants down to zero. You just need one big enough to turn over the air in your grow space every three to five minutes. I hope that helps. HSA
