Odd Hermie

This morning I opened the closet to discover one of my larger girls who has been flowering for two weeks had sprouted balls on some of the lower branches. None of these branches had developed pistols yet but the rest of the plant has tons. I had some light leakage last night so I'm guessing that's the trigger but do you think I'm safe just cutting the branches without pistols/with ballses. Most of them are below the canopy so they wouldn't be producing near as much as the top. Think this is an isolated incident because of light leakage or do you think she's gonna be a hermie? I'll watch her closer than normal for the next few days to see what happens but I'd like to hear if anybody else has had this happen. I don't wanna lose my favorite girl

Yeah keep cutting the branches without pistols that have balls so that it doesn't turn the rest of the crop into beaner making machines. If it doesn't stop producing balls then destroy it.

Is it possible for only a couple branches to hermie? I've never really encountered too many hermies and when we did we panicked and chopped like retards.

It eventually spreads to the whole plant. It's like a zombie infestation, you gotta kill the zombies before they bite everyone else!

No sign of any more male flowers today when I opened the door, but more female flowers appeared overnight including some new ones on lower branches which hadn't had any flowers yet. The calm before the storm?

nah bro. actually is quite normal in some strains to spit out balls where pistols should be. sometimes have to cut off like 30-40 of them in this time. that usually does it-they dont grow back. but you are gonna have to check your whole plant very thoroughly. u should be ite

Semi-unrelated but how long does it actually take for a male flower to mature enough to burst and pollinate? I've never kept any long enough to know or really do I feel like digging through pages of junk to find out.

quickly-less than 2 weeks. but if it is 'intersexed' where you can have a full female flower complete with pistols AND male petals-the banana fingers-than 2-3 days. usually very late in flowering. see one today-big fat calyx with 2 white pistols with one male finger popping out next to the pistols-odd
