Odd Growth???

So I was taking a cutting from my Ganesh and while inside I noticed the nodes looked a little weird? The best way I can describe it is as a glossy, bulbous polyp surrounding the nodes. It is present at every node but decreases in size the as the top is aproached. Do these look normal? Does this indicate anything? Thanks for the input.

I dont think it means anything. Ive had plenty plants swell @ the base of the branch.......if thats what your talking about

The leaves are beginnings of branches and the bubbles I call knuckles and they are good, the plant is basically adding that for strength, i've noticed the larger those get the more pot the plant generally has on it

From what i have read, more times than not, that bulge indicates a female plant. Not 100% and it does happen on males. Just a trait found mostly on females.
