Odd Growth ?!?

Hey everyone,

I'm in need of some help from some of the more experienced growers around !
So I'm currently growing a Hindu Kush plant from seed from Ontario's Best Seed Company. I'm growing in a smaller grow box with CFL lighting. I have a pH test kit and have pH'd my water and the runoff from the soil so as to get an estimated soil pH. The temps in my box are a bit high but nothing terrible range from (81 - 90) depending on the weather. The RH% runs in and around 40 - 45%. I think thats enough back information if not please feel free to ask for more. On to my problem....

So my plant is roughly a week old (counting from when it sprouted above soil) And its starting to grow rather oddly. What I mean is that the leaves are all starting to grow almost upwards. Its hard to explain, easier to see in a picture. So I'm going to post a few pics. I'll put a comment after each.

First up is the plant in question and you can see exactly what I'm talking about in this pic.

Notice how its growing up and not in a stretching for light kinda way as the lights are no more than 1.5 - 2 inches away.

Same thing just a bit more clear and a closer.

The final picture I'm going to post is a COMPLETELY different Plant. However the reason I'm posting this pic is to show that its not my environment thats causing the problem as this plant is growing right beside my Oddity.

Thats my bagseed growing right beside the Kush.

The only other thing I neglected to mention about my setup is that these little plants have a clear plastic cup over them that I mist a few times a day just to help keep the humidity up.

Hope that sums it all up and I hope someone can come up with an answer for me, even if its not to worry and it'll sort itself out.

Thanks,

well if the grow conditions are the same for both seedlings i would assume it has to do with the breed and that may just be the way it grows, but im limited in my experience i just thought i might give a suggestion, did you see a pic of the breed full grown or growing before you bought it, it also could be that that particular breed likes different conditions than your bag seed

Thanks for the quick response, I appreciate it !

I have seen a few shots of full grown plants before i picked my strain however in flowering it looked like your average pure indica. I've defiantly thought about what you have said myself before posting but thought just in case it was an actual problem maybe someone could help. I do appreciate your response though.

You know, this reminds me there is one thing I forgot to mention...The 2 plants are in different soil mixes, I'm just not sure if a transplant to the other soil this early in life is a good idea or not. I'm also not exactly sure how I'd go about transplanting from one 6inch pot to another 6 inch pot...

Thanks,
