Hello everyone! I am Ocho2, and I have been growing and posting every second of my previous journals on here. I hope that I see my returning friends, as well as make new ones!

It's nice to meet you all, and welcome to another exciting chapter in my gardens. I've posted several journals on here as I said. My first was my White Widow X Big Bud from Female Seeds. My second, and most recent, was Sensi Star from Paradise Seeds, DNA Genetics Exodus Kush (and is returning now <3), Female Seeds Bubblegummer, and Female Seeds Pure AK (AK48). Both of them were closet grows, and I had 8 feet to work with in heighth and four foot of width. This time, where I moved to now, there are not any closets here. So its right in the open, plenty of space, a way to hide it, and have so much space to work with. I am positive if you search my name, or go to my profile, you will find my last gardens. I also have youtube videos on them as well. If you have trouble finding it and need the link, I will gladly post it for you :D!

All seeds I grow are feminized, and I have never had any male issues. Though Exodus Kush is returning to this grow, the other three strains I have yet to grow which excites me even more.

Well I hooe many f you subscribe, as I love having a great community to talk with, give advice to, as well as always take advice and criticism from :D. Thank you everyone, and I will now post again with the specs of my garden!

Garden Specs:

Lighting: 400 Watt High Pressure Sodium.

Ballast: Electronic Ballast. Adjustable to 150 Watts, to 250 Watts, to the maximum 400 Watts.

Medium: Coco Coir Block by Jiffy.

Containers: 5 Gallon Buckets from start to finish, as always :D

Nutrients: Hydro 7-9-5 Solution, and MagiCal for required added CALMAG when growing in Coco Coir.

Fan: No fan inside of my light. Previously used a small 6 inch Honeywell fan. Now have a huge box fan, and the air conditioning/heating unit is about 6 feet away. (Our air unit is just like the ones in hotel rooms/resort rooms. Real great for temperature control.

pH Control: General Hydrophonics pH kit. pH Up and Down, Tester, dropper, all the goodies. Needed to make sure the girls can take food up, three drops of pH down keeps me at a solid 5.7-5.9 pH.

Seeds: DNA Genetics Exodus Kush, Barney's Farm Critical Kush, Barney's farm Pineapple Chunk, and EVA Seeds Jamaican Dream

Additional Tools: pH Meter to ensure I have the proper pH, tape measure, 60x-100x Trichome Scope, timer for control of vegetative state and then the flowering period.

Day 1 (Technically): Germination.

I just started germination, so please everyone bear with me as it will still be a few days until much shows. In all of my grows my tails have popped in no longer than 3 days. My WWxBB grow I had three girls. 24 hours, 48 hours, and 72 hours it took. One after the other. My last grow, Sensi-Exodus-AK48-Bubblegummer, they were all planted with tails popped within 40 hours.

I have a dedicated germ plate for each seed as you can see in the above photos. Allows me to know which plant it which. Also the index cards with Breeder/Strain/Date Planted will be secured to each bucket as well once they are planted and I have a day written on there.

Once I have a tail pop, I will instantly update. Also I do update my journals daily with photos and writing.

Thanks everyone!

10 Hours into Germination:

Started germ around 8pm. Checked them for the first time now at 6:43am. Seeds all look super hydrated, and its obvious they are loving their first taste of water :3.

My prediction is by tonight, 8pm ish or so, should definitely have a tail showing.

Time for a long day at school, and updates as progress happens :D.

15.5 hours into germination:

Luckily on my one hour break from school I got to take a quick look at the seeds. The Jamaican dream, critical kush, and pineapple chunk all have cracked open. No tails out yet but you can see it in the crack waiting to come out.

Exodus kush hasn't cracked yet but I know she will soon. Great progression in not even a full day.

Update again later on all!

24 hours into germination:

Ok everyone, it's finally begun.

Every seed is cracked open. I can see tails within the seed shells, but Barney's Farm Pineapple Chunk was the first to spit her tail out. I just planted her.

I presoaked my coco brick in the following solution:

3 drops of pH down
1/4 tsp. calmag
1/4 tsp. 7-9-5 solution

My light is currently set to 150 watts, and is 18+ inches above the bucket tops.

Since they are all open and progressing so fast, I know all of them will be planted within the next 3-8 hours. Pulling an all night study session tonight, as well as taking care of them and planting them when ready.

Also I will not risk burning them or feeding them this early, and since my coco has been pre-charged, I should be perfect for the first week to 1.5 weeks.

Ladies and Gents, I give you Pineapple Chunk.

I will be posting more updates tonight as they come, along with photos of course.

Thanks everyone. And by the way, I +rep my subscrbers. Shady, it wouldn't let me rep you again but I did try :D.

One hour after the Pineapple Chunk was planted, the Exodus Kush from DNA Genetics popped her tail out.

Kind of shocked me in a way. Barneys Farm Critical Kush has been slightly cracked all day, and Exodus wasn't cracked at all. Critical is slightly open more now and you can see her tail, but the Exodus beat her to the coco first. Astonishes me how quickly things change, and reminds me how this process never gets old or boring :D.

Here she is everyone, Exodus Kush!

exoduskush.jpg

EVA Seeds Jamaican Dream is definitely in the lead with her tail right now, compared to the Critical Kush. My estimate is 1-2 hours Jamaican Dream will be planted into her new home. I give the critical kush 3-5 hours, but hey, it changes so fast who knows right now xD.

Updates as they come in all. Thank you, and hope to see more people!

As of the 30 hour mark of germination, both Jamaican Dream and Critical Kush poked their tails out.

I started germination 5/27 at 8:45pm. All seeds cracked, let their tails out, and were planted within 30 hours later.

Germination period:

-Barney's Farm Pineapple Chunk, 24 hours.
-DNA Genetics Exodus Kush, 25 hours.
-Barney's Farm Critical Kush, 30 hours.
-EVA Seeds Jamaican Dream, 30 hours.

Here is Jamaican Dream below :D

jamaicandream.jpg

And below here we have Critical Kush :D

criticalkush.jpg

They are all planted. Pinky nail depth, taproot down, then covered, a slight squirt of pH down water with nothing else added. My coco was slightly pre-charged when I soaked it today. Don't plan to feed until 1.5 to 2 weeks, unless needed sooner.

I have my buckets labeled with the breeder, strain name, and date planted (as I did with my germination plates). Also I used four pipe cleaners, one for each bucket, and made them from a straight pipe cleaner to a circle. After I plant a seed, a cover, give it a slight drink, and then put my colorful circle over where she was planted. That way over the next 1-3 days while I await them to break the coco, I know exaactly what area to look at :D.

Now a little more patience, as they should break the earth soon :D!

Thanks everyone, and nice to see you again RL!!

you're going to love the pineapple chunk smoke, i know i did, and many many others ;)
Have you grown Barney's Pineapple Chunk :o?

I am really excited, and know this will be a whole new experience with 3 new strains being grown.

Only thing I am still deciding is if Pineapple Chunk, Jamaican Dream, and Critical Kush are going to be FIM'ed. My exodus kush is definitely getting the FIM. I didn't read enough on DNA Genetics website last grow and discovered well into it's bloom that the encourage topping for the Exodus Kush. She grew insanely tall..and I mean almost 7 foot. Her cola was so thick and heavy that in the last week of bloom she was leaning badly. Then because she was too tall, she started to get heat stress. Luckily she was done for the most part (could have gone 4-7 more days) but I didn't want the heat to damage her buds/resin glands.

Any advice on the strains that can withstand getting FIMed out of those three? I mean if they all can be, I will totally do it to all of them.

Thanks RL and its great to hear from you again, and have you here!

Wow it looks great. Love the bushes you create too :p. How was the smoke? I can see the coco getting pushed up bit on pineapple chunk so I am guessing shell pop out soon.

Also do you think with the light set 18 inches above at 150 watts is good for seedlings in the beginning? Just don't want to torch them.

i leave my 400w at the highest possible height, almost 5 feet. lol. I like to think it promotes stretching a little bit to make a nice stalk in the beginning.

Well I will raise it more when I get back from class. Exodus Kush and Pineapple Chunk broke coco last night. Still easing out though.

Also picked up chicken wire (5ft) to keep the cat out. She stepped on the outer coco of Jamaican Dream so now curious kitty can't be nosey lol.

Update later today all!

I did raise it up to almost 2 ft last night when I saw two popped. But I'll raise it, don't want heat damage.
