Occasio Cortez, New Green Deal visionary?

I've always seen big government as an enemy of my growing endeavors.
That's why you're not taken seriously by anybody.

You elect the so-called "big government". Oddly, it is the republican, religious right that still sees marijuana as "the evil gateway drug". It is you, people like you, and the people you stand up for, vote for and support that cause you your problems.

Get on board with the people that want to see marijuana decriminalized. That want to see more medical research done with it. That want to see it replace the so-called legal opioid drugs that have caused the single largest addiction and death wave since the advent of opium.

That would be the democratic party. Not the right wing religious nut jobs you worship.

Yeah, you are ill informed on who I voted for and why. But thank you for explaining why you love big government.

But thank you for explaining why you love big government.
I can give you many more reasons I love big government in no particular order:
  • The United States Army
  • The United States Navy
  • The United States Marine Corps
  • The United States Air Force
  • The United States Coast Guard
  • The National Parks Service
  • The Center for Disease Control
  • The Department of Health
  • NASA
  • The National Guard
  • The FDIC
  • The Environmental Protection Agency (although Trump is trying his level best to kill it.)
  • The United States Small Business Administration
  • The U.S. Department of Education (although is trying to fuck that up as much as possible as well.)
  • The Federal Emergency Management Administration
I could go on for days. We'd still be living in the stone age if not for these people, who are largely everyday Americans doing the best they can to provide security, safety and prosperity to the American people at large.

She may have the capacity to learn. Maybe.

I may have been too harsh, she might just be ignorant, but it's possible she's ignorant AND evil.

Her political positions, from an operational means perspective, are the same as every other politicians, "do what I say or suffer the consequences of government force".

The thing about her that pisses me off, she thinks she can use systemic force and still occupy moral high ground, which is something her opponents can't use against her, because they use the exact same means as she does...a gun.
Speaking of ignorant and evil, you want the barter system and racial segregation

So maybe just shut the fuck up

Nice use of equine symbolism. I approve of your horsing around.

If two people of different races want to associate or not, that's their business not mine or yours. Are you saying you let other people tell you who you must associate with, on the terms they declare? Sounds slavish.

Barter systems are one way for people to engage in voluntary trade, but they are not the only way. The critical component of trade should be it is voluntary, peaceful and mutual between the parties.

So, maybe I won't shut the fuck up, Poopy Pants.

Scratch a libertarian and you'll find a Republican under that camo, Your kind are all about big government.

In any case, the days when a small government was even possible are over. The New Green Deal is all about correcting mistakes made over the past hundred or so years. There is no going back to before then.

I love AOC, but I'm going to pass on her new green deal since it is impossible to implement. Thanks for your opinion.

^^This post is the equivalent of declaring that you aren't going to travel anywhere because you aren't already there.

It's a non-binding resolution. It is a roadmap. There is nothing about her action that is even intended to become law. It does enter into the Congressional Record and is a working document that states clearly what to do. Oh yes, she's not just going after energy supply as the answer. Her honesty and factual assessment of what to do is admirable.

Thank you for the information. I support non-binding road maps to fantasy land so I will now support the new green deal. lol

Thank you for mocking the plan. Your logical fallacy, otherwise known as a bad argument, only proves my point.

Getting off fossil fuels and nuclear over the course of 10 years is naive. Not gonna happen. Just my opinion.

Yes, and that's not what is said in the resolution. NPR got it wrong too. Agree that carbon neutral in ten years is not possible. But that's not the text of the resolution.

It says progress by 2030 and carbon neutral by 2050. Nothing says "must". Those are worthy goals to strive for.
