Observation about effects of uncured flowers on grumpy old men

I have always been a bit skeptical of the “science” of curing flowers, but I have to admit that over the last year or so my wife and I have noticed that if we test-vape dried flowers before allowing them to cure for a few weeks, they are more likely to make us what the medical professionals call “agitated.”

I’m not saying it’s making me violent but I get impatient about trivial stuff and if I have read or watched any news reports that aggravate me, I start overthinking it and get snippy with my wife.

My wife thinks it’s more likely to happen with the strains that lean sativa. Last night I noticed it happening after we tested some flowers from a Cheese hybrid. We cut down the plant about three weeks ago but it hadn’t been put in a jar yet.

It's even more pronounced in edibles. I've learned to harvest late and a 60-day minimum cure puts the "Mellow" back in my cannabis. Most of what's sold nowadays is pushed out the door as fast as they can to get the next crop in. It's all about the $$$ now. Back in the day the Mexican dirt weed got harvested at the end of the season but might lay around for months before making its way across the border and more time getting parceled out and actually make it to my hands.
