Well I was impatient thinking I was not going to get a reply and erased that post . Since you quoted it took the time to reply I shall do the same . I agree with you from a humanitarian stand point of all people should receive health care . I just don't like the way private insurance companies became the solution. In Sweden for example free heath care and a two year maternity leave if you become pregnant while employed. In Canada free healthcare also free wisdom teeth removal for everyone. And here wages have not increased but a new demand to pay for a service that once was optional now mandatory . Is lowering the quality of life for many .

I feel we should have looked at how other countries have implemented healthcare and adopted a working system .
maybe your right this tax does have representation . Maybe those aren't the words I needed but I do feel there's an injustice with the tax penalty for refusing to buy a service from a private company. Buy are product or pay a tax does not seem like the way a free market should be implemented.

If you are in favor of universal healthcare, you have an odd argument. It creates a single, universal pool. It costs the young as much or more than the ACA.

I did try to simplify my side of things in the 1st post here , re reading it I think I missed my mark . What i was driving at is people can pay up to 35% of income in taxes and ss and as you pointed out not all of this is federal tax. Now cost of insurance is added , in countries where that much of ones income is taxed they are provided with alot of service like heathcare from there government.

Your point would carry weight if the country you mentioned didn't spend 1/2 as much per capita for healthcare as we do.
