Let's look @ the issue realistically.

Big Pharm and others does't want legalization of Marijuana.
Doesn't matter which party is in power.
At least I know where Romney stands on the subject. I may disagree with it. But, it hasn't wavered.
Now on the other side with Obama.... He is a true flip floppier on Marijuana.
He is just pandering for votes.

Has he flipped and said he's against it or did he say he's for it but never did anything?

You do realize we are setting a 31 year high for people out of work?
90k jobs were created last month. That is terrible. That is abysmal.
2011 we averaged 159k jobs a month, this year we are averaging 120k a month.
Unemployment dropped to 8.1% because people stopped collecting unemployment, NOT because people found work.

"The decline in the jobless rate came primarily because the labor force participation rate fell to 63.5 percent, its worst level in more than 30 years."

Hang on althor.

I wager that you believe that unemployment insurance is what is keeping all of those who receive it from going out and looking for work. "Handouts" induce sloth, continuing handouts perpetuates unwillingess to work - after all, the jobs are out there, right?

Now by that logic, when a UI recipient is cut off, he, by virtue of that reasoning, must now be working.

So the unemployment rate is reflective of reality as anyone who is not getting a dole is either working, dead, or inconsequential.

Your statement presupposes that Big Pharma actually believes that marijuana has valuable medicinal qualites and I am not sure that they do. I can't think of any other group that has a monied interest in such things blocking marijuana legalization on that basis. I believe this is still a moral battle and not a monitary one.

I can't see how shutting down legal dispensaries in the various states is pandering for votes as the anti- marijuana crowd are not single issue voters and the pros have nowhere else to go.

Has the potsmoker Obama made ANY attempt to legalize?
Of course not.
This hypocrite spent his entire teenage years getting roasted and now turns his back on it.

You Obama lovers dont care, we know. The rest of us do care.
Too bad he didnt get busted when he was a teenager and ruined his life like so many others.
butthurt award.

He was against it and now he's for it, it better than Obama that was for it and now against it. What the hell are you getting at? He gives an answer that close to Obama now it isn't good enough?

He has a history of being for stuff when his voting record disagrees. Deficit hawk that voted for all the increases under Bush. Someone that had a conversion in Colorado yet voted against ending the federal crackdown four months ago when it mattered.

So Obama did the exact opposite but use the same tactic and it's not ok now? You really don't have a leg to stand on in this argument.

I haven't seen anything from Obama that bans medical marijuana, some large dispensaries were forced to close down but no prosecutions. Even local law enforcement make arrests and prosecutions under the clause that you are not allowed to make a profit.

I'll take that over "I'm against it but it should be up to the states. Although when I had a chance to support those states rights in congress...I voted against it."

lying through his teeth to get votes. No conservative has ever been pro cannabis (except crazy Ron Paul) but is he really conservative?

I dare you to find one article where Obama says he's anti MMJ.

There is no statement from Obama against MMJ.

Both Romney and Ryan oppose it. Mitt said he'd "fight tooth and nail" against MMJ and marijuana legalization. While Obama hasn't been the messiah of MMJ he's light years ahead of where the GOP ticket is.

It's very clear which ticket is better for MMJ. While Obama isn't perfect he's not a complete Prohibitionist like Romney is.

I really can't stand people sometimes. Because Obama said he will do something about it in 08 and hasn't done anything about it yet. People automatically assume he's anti MMJ. Fucking morons, incase you didn't notice 2008 was a bit of a shit storm. He was trying to keep us out of soup lines I don't really think he had the time to focus on marijuana and getting it legal. (even though it would create a lot of jobs that's another debate)
