Sorry computer crash, lol..
Doesn't it just piss you off when that happens?

If you watch Glenn Beck several times a week, what are your thoughts on how he's tying General Electric (the owner of NBC), with being in the bag for Obama during the election ... and even now, especially considering that GE is in line for getting the contract for building the wind turbines for Obama's new clean energy programs? NBC, under the leadership of GE, makes our mainstream media look like Pravda.

Kind of makes Haliburton/Cheney deal look a little small, doesn't it?

Also, are you following Beck's expose' of A.C.O.R.N.? Quite interesting, Id say.

And by the way ... Beck is not a shill for the Republican Party. He's a conservative Libertarian just like many folks who post in this forum.

On the money once again Vi. Also, Immelt and GE are sitting in the cat bird's seat with regard to the national healthcare database they're proposing too. Bastards.

Check out this link Vi:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&q=fox+news+stupid

4,630,000 hits for "fox news stupid" can't all be wrong.

Billo the clown, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck are all right wing idiots and liars trying desperately defend the "ideals" of a dying party. If this is where you get your news from you are lost pal.

I feel like many people (not necessarily you) immediately write off Glenn Beck cuz his show is on fox. I feel like those who give him a liiiittle chance write him off soon after because he gets very wrapped up and passionate about topics he discusses on his show. I DO think he takes it a biiit too far sometimes, but often he's merely proposing the possibility of things- such as our fascist country evolving into a tyranny. I think anybody who's open to the facts and understands how the central banking system (federal reserve) operates, will see that this possibility really isn't too far fetched at all. And finally, Beck doesn't feed into this "right/left" or "republican/democrat" paradigm at all. He's a constitutionalist like Ron Paul, and it shows. One time on his show, he described how government continues to grow larger and how we've headed steadily toward totalitarianism REGARDLESS of which party has been in office, and regardless of whether each party considered itself a conservative or liberal. Beck just doesn't get caught up in the bullshit and although he may SOUND like a conspiracy theorist at times, he's often times just acknowledging POSSIBILItIES and calling it as it is.

Bill-O and Hannity, I'm completely turned off by. they feed directly into this "right/left" paradigm first off. Secondly, they each are very rude toward their guests, constantly interrupting them (especially if they don't agree). I mean c'mon, the "no spin zone?" Gimme a break...these two as well as olbermann are pure entertainment. Olbermann, a "leftist", and O Reilly keep this "right/left" war going strong among the people. the people, too busy attacking each other from both sides of the political spectrum, are too wrapped up in this nonsense to even see the issues for what they are, independently.

As Chris Rock once said...everybody's conservative about some issues while everybody (ok, most people) are liberal about other issues. So to categorize people entirely because of this is just ridiculous.

http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=Obama+Sucks&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=Obama+Sucks&fp=-dx2DTn7Pl4

Does that mean that with 7 Million + references to Obama Sucking, that Obama really does suck, and that his supporters (being accessories to his election) also suck.

(Compare this to the 370K hits for 'Bush Sucks'
http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=Bush+Sucks&fp=bTsG5nIHTMw)

Or perhaps, 'Obama is a Socialist' which returns 3.76 Million ('Bush is a Socialist' returns 3.62 Million)

vs just 1.81 million for 'Bush is a Fascist', but Obama is a Fascist returns 2.62 Million.)

Guess that means that
Fascism = Socialism (which actually results in 2.55 Million hits from Google)
and that Bush and Obama are both Socialists, but Obama sucks more than Bush.

*edit*

oops, didn't know Beck considers himself a "conservative libertarian."

I think my point still stands tho- he doesn't get wrapped up in "attacking sides"...he calls it like it is...and sometimes takes it a bit further, proposing possibilities toward where this country could be heading. Once again, if you're familiar with how the monetary system works, these are all quite probable scenarios.

But of course when he had his "war room" episode, he lost credability and became a "whackjob nut who lost his mind"....thanks in large part to comedians like Colbert and Stewart.

Another guy I like whom gets a lot of shit- Gerald Celente. Peter Schiff too

...and for the people who see through Obama....

Must say I can't stand this trend of people referring to obama as a socialist...or "our country is heading toward socialism"....

LOOK UP the definition for fascism and socialism, and then tell me that obama is still "socialist."

There's a lot of fascism talk on this board. What's wrong with fascism as a form of governing?

Of course, we can all point to examples of failed fascist governments, but we surely aren't limited by past failures. With the right man in charge, why couldn't fascism work in certain instances?

The word certainly carries negative connotations but need not necessarily...

My computer is randomly restarting, and my posts keep getting erased.. I would love to go on about Glenn Beck, but the man is a raving lunatic in short. Honestly, listen to his opening monologues, and even his staunchest supporters have to acknowlege his "overzealousness". Seriously, don't be a sheep, some of the things he has to say are right on, but most of it is alarmist babble..

c'mon, seriously? what's wrong w/fascism? well, I certainly don't (and i'm sure you'll agree) want to be paying taxes to the government to help support businesses (as has been said thousands of times in this thread)...which IS happening, and has BEEN happening for a very long time now. Shit, you know taxpayers pay 1.5 billion/year in this country directly to walmart cuz walmart is too cheap to pay medicare?

And you better believe these financial institutions and retail giants rob the little guys from competition too. Who's gonna support local when they don't have the means to, or just when it's cheaper anyway? Quality has gone out the window for the most part and it's all about how far you can stretch your dollar.

America was founded on the idea that anybody could come to this land of opportunity to try and make something out of nothing. How u gonna do that now, when places like McDonalds and Walmart have neglected quality all for the sake of profit and sold our jobs to cheap labor in sweat shops overseas? How you gonna do that now when our tax dollars are paid in gov't subsidies to the corn that makes up EVERYthing on a mcdonalds menu, from the soda to the bun to the burger, frying oil, ketchup, etc (yes, corn or corn syrup sweetener is in ALL these things). large-scale commercial farming, the pesticides used and the carbon footprint left behind are ALL detrimental to the environment.

this is only one example, I could go on about subsidies. tobacco and milk....you know we actually produce more milk in this country than is used? Why do they inject these cows with rbst growth hormone to make all this milk that gets wasted, and why am i paying for it? Why the fuck am I paying to support tobacco farmers, I don't smoke tobacco. Why am I paying these corn farmers to produce high fructose corn syrup and corn that goes into all cheap, processed food? Why am I paying for the environmental damage they cause? i eat all ORGANIC. And finally, why am I paying taxes to support our health care system, when i'm paying for all the things I just listed that kill people's health. gov't has their hands in the health care system. see what im sayin?

point being...our country has gone way past capitalism. We're a fascist nation, whether you care to see it or not, and it's hurting you whether you see it or not

America's economy is 2/3 consumer based because of these practices- we are a country of consumption, not production. And so when the gov't encourages this behavior (anti-nationalism is what I'D personally call it) they're selling out opportunities to nearly every American cuz it only benefits the CEO's at the top...that aint what america is about...least not what it used to be about. We're not all created/treated equally.

the gov't ALSO further-encourages over-consumption and spending beyond ones means through our entire phony system of credit. We've learned this the hard way- YOU CAN't SPEND what you DON't HAVE. Obama has SAID this in many speeches- that americans need to cut spending and increase domestic production. And then what does he do? turns around and borrows 787 billion from the fed reserve. riiight...and many ppl will continue to say "we HAD to in order to avoid a ripple-effect."

OH REALLY?? we can just borrow and print money with no dire consequence? I tell ya what- printing and borrowing money now is like putting a bandaid over a gaping wound. It's like playing with a ticking time bomb...you can't borrow forever...and thats why our monetary system (the Fed) is completely fraud and people need to wake up and see that Obama has invited the PRESIDENt of this fraudulent company to be our secretary of tREASURY.

i can SEE how beck may APPEAR to be a lunatic or conspiracy theorist by proposing such seemingly drastic possibilities, many of which aren't even too far fetched if you understand our monetary system, basic economics, and the progression from socialism to fascism and ultimately complete control through (*GASP*) dictatorship or tyranny

did i say the d and t words? Jeez I must be a radical like glenn beck too

your right, under a "good ruler"... fascism can be a good thing. Unlike Germany and Russia(Soviets), Italy wasn't a cruel place. They (fascist countries) depend on themselves a lot more than other forms, they run their industries, agriculture, etc... not too much importing. Things get done faster since there is no voting (or very little). Classes are usually thrown out the window as well...
It's not necessarily a bad form on paper yada yada yada. its all about finding a "good ruler" thats the key. and if you do... what happens when that ruler passes away? will a good one take his spot?
Even though i personally think democratic government is the best, it doesn't mean i want my country trying to change other countries's form. That's just plain wrong.

Lighten up buddy... Where did I quote you in my post? If you believe in everything Glenn BEck says then yes, I believe (I could be wrong here, but...) you are extreme in your views. Politics aside, if you look at his views, his views exist outside mainstream thinking. I'm not saying everything he says is wrong but even an objective watcher would notice that more than 3/4 of the things he says are based on some sort of fallacy. Fallacy is the tool of extremism...

I gotta say i'm totally against facism. I think that calling Obama a facist is just a way extermists take jabs at his policies. To these people any amount of regulation is facist and that is just ignorant of what different political ideologies are. You seriously want banks to regulate themselvs after the S&L fiasco and now this? Recent history has shown they are not responsible. Its not their fault its capitolism but occationally someone has to step in when things get out of whack and regulate for a time. Hopefully things get sorted and in 10 years we can look at de-regulation. In fact because of the things done to regulate things, the society is able at some point to come back to little or no regulation. This has happened time and again in our economy. At that point I may be voting on the republican ticket (nothing new I'm sure your shocked to hear), because it is time to get back to a free and open market. What recent history has shown us however is that controls need to be placed on these companies. look, companies are run by individuals that have a compensation plan. People often will take the short term money even if it means huge problems later. Thats what this whole mess is about. Someone needs to have controls in place (for now at least) to make sure we don't get screwed by these people. There is no rammafication is a ceo makes record profits and a huge bonus on top of that (ceo's commonly make a base salary of 2-5 million with bonuses that can be 10x or more than their base.) These people at some point decided that it was more important to keep their huge bonuses than to slow down and do what is right for the lenders and the community. I worked for a bank and when mortgages dried up 3-4 years ago, we were tasked with cannabolizing our own portfoilios and rewrite loans we just did a year ago to make it appear that sales were still booming. This came from the top down, many of us were shocked. Something needs to be done to "correct" the market and the business practices.
