for the last 3-4 week when the lights come on i have been turning off my exhaust fans and turning on my co2 tank and i think they weren't getting enough fresh air or something to that effect. a bunch of the fan leaves are dying off. im done with co2 for now and im gonna run the exhaust 24/7 and hope it fixes it.

are you out of co2 or giving up? maybe try exhausting at the very top, and venting the co2 right over the plants. It's supposed to be heavy, and probably good. but if you're out then fud it. I've been thinking about trying co2 if I ever get enough for a tank and valve.

anyways, more pics, from last night and tonight. Doing pretty well, they were all bending over because of the weight I guess. I ended up getting rope and tieing them up and together to get the bud's back up to the light.

wondering what I should do in terms of trimming. Some of the fan leaves get spots, and i've been just taking them off. There isn't much light beneath so I think it might be good. Some people go ham trimming. Any thoughts?

I always trim in flower, I mean they do it in SCROG and other yielding techniques with no ill-effects. Yet if we do it without scrogging or the like it is "blasphemy" well I am one to do what works and removing fan leaves works nicely for me. It gives more light, air flow and other benefits that if a big ass fan leaf is there. Now I don't strip them naked, I just remove what is needed and maybe a bit more. I have been known to take a leaf off for looking at me wrong lol, never an ill effect.

I am sure the trolls will chime in that follow like sheep at the old adage "never take off fan leaves" well that moron who started that erroneous information that others believe is the gospel probably grew in soil where it makes a bit more difference when finding food. In hydro the nutrients are always there and ready so the leaves have less important roll to store nutrients as they are readily available

I say it works for me, try it and see for yourself. If it works awesome, if not then don't do it again. If the plants are healthy its never an issue, if they have other problems I probably would correct them first.

i still have co2 but im not gonna use it until i learn more. i did have the hose above the plants but it just seems that if the exhaust is on its still gonna suck the co2 outside and just waste it. i may try again in a later grow. im gonna post some pics tonight. they are getting a little better and they still have plenty of time.

I'll probably trim some up tonight then, take some group shots and individual ones. I always hear people against it, nice to hear someone for trimming. I really want major space so I can test individual variables like trimming in crops to compare between techniques.

here are some pics i just took. they still have some of the yellow brownish fan leaves but i think its still recovering. i guess thats 1 good thing about the long flowering time, it has time to heal. they look to be getting a little bit of weight right now and they smell craaaaaaaaaazy strong.

gogowitz how often do you change your water in your 5gal buckets?? They look great!
honestly like two or three times before I started to flush. Flush started about two or three days ago. Gonna let it go for two weeks, then crop them out. A little early but there's some orange hairs starting, gonna post pics in a minute, not to many but some.

looking great smokeshop!! mine have a great smell, but there's a lot of air leaving my tent, so I only really notice it up close, or after working with them for a minute. But my hands do smell amazing after holding the buds!
