Nutrients?????/ please help???

ok im on my second grow not so succesful with the first grow so im lookin to do things right this time...... i just need to know whats the best nutes to use??? how much and when??? i heard molassus or however you spell it works good??? anyone willing to help??

Depends on your setup, are you in soil or hydro? I use the fox farm line for both, molasses does supposely help with sugars, flavoring, and final weight, i have yet to see anybody do a side by side comparsion.

yea fox farm is good and i just started using molasses so idk about a difference yet,if your looking for cheap nutes for veg i just picked up some alaskan fish fertz 5-1-1 for like$7 or$8 from lowes

how many plants?

First off you need to know more than just the word nutes and you have to understand at least a little bit of what NPK is/are. You want greenery you want nitrogen. you want roots you want P and some K. You want flowers you want K. Micro nutes are a different story and not many plants are really that demanding when it comes to some of them.

Fox farms works fine, its cheap and works okay. Just use that and ocean forest with some extra aerating additives like perlite because it compacts after about 4-5 waterings so the roots don't spread so well. Make sure to look out though I got a batch of fox farms soil with gnats in it. I would look at something besides basic molasses since it doesn't really do the job a more synthesized nutrient with the same purpose molasses serves. Theres so many different nutes out there I wouldn't really say theres a best. I mean theres only so many ways to change NPK.

Personally I use Advanced Nutrients (no I'm not a fucking salesman) I just changed from soil to readygrow coco and AN and I must say I'm more than impressed. Of course I did drop the cash for it.

I use the FoxFarm trio with blackstrap unsulphured molasses. My buds are huge and my plants stay healthy throughout the grow. I never have a problem with nute deficiency or nute burn. I like the trio because it's simple and easy to use.

We are still left with the question of WTF does 5-1-1 mean. I believe I know but doubt I could splain it. I don't buy much fertilizer cause I gotta mean ass compost heap. It's too bad everyone doesn't have a heap cooking. Ain't nothing slicker than turning "your" pile when it's well below freezing out and have it hot to the touch.

Here around Boston most towns give away "finished" compost at the landfull. It always needs to be sifted and sweetened up but it's free and free is good. Just cause you bought it in a bag doesn't mean it is any good!! If the bag of shit you buy smells like shit then it's to hot for your garden.

It's interesting that Fox Farm's Trio uses UNsulphered molasses. I don't know what SULPHER does in the garden but I think the Aussies use NPK AND S to rate their fert. I guess I should look into what it does.

Pretty sad that I have not had my very own crop in 25 years but the kids have been tossed out and next season is mine and I am so ready!!!!
