Nutrients HELP! When do I use them??

Hey everyone. Happy new NewYear!!!

My Plants are 33 days old and flowering. They have not have nutes up till this point.

I went out and bought SHULTZ plant food. 20-30-20 I have NOT used it yet. HAVE i got the right stuff, and HOW do i use it. It has Mn, Fe, Zn in it as well.

Here's where my girls are at now...

What kind of soil did you use? Does your soil have nutes in it already? If not i would feed them now but I think a 20-30-20
may be to strong.

No nutes in the soil. its just a mix of compost, peatmoss, pearlite and vermiculite.

20-30-20 If i mix as per direction, and then dilute the mix down to 1/4 strength.....would that be too much?

would use a little of all of those or just chose one?

No that would be fine diluted to 1/4 strength...33 days ..no nutes...WTF?????? Dude I can' understand how your plants dont have deficiencies..you must have put some killer shit in that compost is all I can say....lol....

use the bud blood first week of flower then i use the others. mix all together exept the bud blood. the bud blood promots harder buds

and i to use a nuteral soil no nuts. in it at all. what i feed them is whay get

You need some nitrogen ...which your plants can't have much of at this point....lowering nitrogen is normal procedure for flowering but I think you will loose all your fan leaves due to lack of nitrogen ,before you finish flowering thus resulting in a smaller harvest

by the end of flowering i have already taken off all my fan leaves so i get light through my whole plant. i think thats why my lower buds are huge also

I'm glad someone picked up on that. I though I'd have Deficencies too...but the compost was just budget priced potting soil claiming to have compost in it, wich i mixed with a bag of African Violet Soil.

What I'm saying is you don' want them dropping off to early ..........in that case you could just cut all the fan leaves off the first day of flowering ....then you don't have to worry about what they look like......

Good call i think. These plants were in flowering cycle from seed. 12/12 so i've been confused as to Veging nutes, and blooming nutes. So i basically did nothing at all. But I want to give them something, they deserve it.

Well I would definitely stick with that mix ,....still got me amazed.....
and you do need some nitrogen in your bloom nutes...I use botanicare pro series....pro bloom would be a good choice....hope this was helpful....

thats a good one how would you go about feeding a plant thats started out on a 12 and 12 cycle. would you give them bloom nuts. from the start. then again ive never started any plant of on a 12 and 12 before.

This 12/12 from seed seems pretty experimental, and has totally worked out for my First Grow....fmay also have to do with the plants responsiveness too...I'm still trying to figure it out.

I invite everyone to take a look at my Grow (in sig.) There are some high res pics and more details about the grow.

If this system works I'm hoping for a perpetual harvest.

So just as sure most of us were talking about how it's surprising there's no Deffiency issues....In the last 48 hours the first one has surfaced.

I Crawled right in the room last night, and got eye level with the bitches, and said..."tell it to me strait ladys" Sure enough they revealed to me.....A Phospherous Defficency. The Nodes vegitation, was dark purply green, i think i may have overlooked the first signs a day earlier, as i though these "NEW Hues" were just pretty characteristics of the plant.

And growth in those areas seems slower than the rest of the plant.

So I Mixed up some of that shultz 20-30-20 at half strength, watered the plants a good bit at the begining of their light cycle it is now dark and I am waiting to see if there's a difference.

One plant out of 3 is exhibiting a slight yellowing of it's first fan leaves. Since all are under the same conditions, it prolly wouldn't be long before the rest did too. I think I fertalized just in time.

you should mildly veg nute after two weeks from sprout. You should find flower aiding nutes(centers the energy to the flower) at a very mild solution. Ex Bud XL or Flower bloom

im currently pulling off my fan leaves on my sativa as well, I leave my indi's alone though

Take a look on my grow Journal's most recent pics of my plants , and tell me what you'd do with the fan leaves on there.....I'm not sure, as i think mine is a hybrid strain
