Nutrients for a beginner hydroponic setup

I am going bonkers with trying to find what nutrients to use for my first hydroponic grow. (First grow of any kind)

For my flowering setup I am using a top feed drip system for my mothers and clones. The 3X3 flood table sits above a 25 gallon res. My flowering setup is a 4X4 ebb flood/drain setup with a 45 gallon reservoir.

For any plants that I start out, I know I should only use half strength nutes for a week or so. Also from what I have gathered you should change out the reservoir's nutrient water every 2 weeks. Other than this, I am stumped on what nutrients to use.

I've read a lot of brand names on this forum and other sites like Flora, FoxFarms...etc. I feel confident and comfortable with other aspects of the grow but the nutes have me just baffled.

I know I want a liquid base nute for better solubility and to perhaps keep the drip lines clog free.

Any suggestions?

Check out Dyna-Gro, I've just started testing them and am VERY pleased with the lack of mineral build up and perfect pH stability. To add to all that, they make complete nutes so you'd be fine using one bottle for veg and one for flower:

So if I am understanding you correctly, I could use Dyna-Gro's FoliagePro 9-3-6 for my vegetative stage and the LiquidBloom 3-12-6 for the flowering stage?

This sounds like something I will look into and use.

Check out GH Flora series 3-part. That's what I use. Just for the sake of argument brewer lol. Is the Dyna-Gro really doing better than the GH?

It's waaaaay too early to tell. But so far, I can tell that the pH is something that never needs messed with and it's a VERY clean nute solution. Great for a beginner who doesn't want to mess with many products and wants a quality nute solution without paying for glossy labels and marketing.

Big +1 on the Dyna-Gro.

Good stuff, keeps life simple and, best of all .... cheap!

Awesome! I was getting a bit overwhelmed but learning a lot from reading the different manufacturer sites and trolling threads. I'm leaning toward the Dyna Gro since there are less steps to take. I've also been reading up on Humbolt Nutrients Grow, Micro, Bloom products.

More than likely I will go with Dyna Gro, which other nute do I grab besides their LiquidBloom? Do I grab their Foliage Pro or the Grow for the veg stage?

The humboldt 3 part line and the AN 3 part line are just copies of the GH line. I'm not sure how the others are but pH is something you'll have to adjust a few times per week with GH. Each the foliage pro and liquid bloom formula are more complete than any of those 3 part lines and wont need pH adjusted. Those other lines are good too as I use GH and love the results. But if you're looking for a hands-off growing experience, I think you'll be really please with your DynaGro results.

Homebrewer, thanks for your clarification on this. Looks like I'm gonna go with the DynaGro nutes. This seems like a very good fit for a beginner.
