I am curious to see what ppl add to there grows during there flowering stage, and how many ppl agree on the same things. Also so i cna get some ideas what to get to help my babies out when i shove them into flowering.
 
Additive-wise: Silica Supplement - Stronger stems. Can withstand harsher environmental conditions. You can definitely see your stems bulk up nicely.
 
looked it up, pretty cheap as well. i might give that a shot. Sounds you use it during veg.
 
Or cut out the silica additives and simple grow in 100% pure Diahydro. ;)
Asking what ppl use is insane there are thousan ds of products and what suits 1 may NOT suit another.... due to WATER type..... brain type (user error) ... enviroment..... media....... should I keep going.....

Best bet... pick 1 try it.
 
yea it looks great, i think i will stop by my hydro store and get some. Right now i am using, sensi grow A & B, with budswel (earthworm castings, bat & seabird guano). then will be adding silica blast to that. then for flowering i will use everything except grow formula. will use sensi bloom A & B. Any one else out there. what are you using as additives out there. I LOVE BUDSWEL works amazing.
 
yea i agree, but it is nice to hear, and you get good ideas what to use/try, see what others use and give them a bash, like the silica, reading up looks really good, so i can give it a bash, just like to hear ideas thrown around, and reasons for them, gives others ideas, and can ask questions about the products being used, so we have a better understanding.
 
One thing I'm definitely going to give a try this go round is
top shooter by house and garden. I've seen many people
claim that this is one of those additives they'd steak their
name on.

Snow Storm Ultra/Purple Maxx, I have tried purple maxx
good results Doesn't do well with DWC type applications
with aerations as it can grow bad things in your res. Purple
maxx supposedly helps bring out color (I saw none) but it
also helps to add to the trich production, which I believe I
saw.

Gravity, big caution on this additive as it is very strong and
not all plants react the same to it. It is used as a flower
hardener and I have used this with success, but you have
to be VERY careful not to use a high amount of nutes or you
WILL burn your plants.
 
never heard of (top shooter by house and garden). but now googling it. it really does looking interesting, costs a bit, but def interesting. Tell us how it goes if you use it, i am worried though with the product when do you add it and, normally you flush your plant the last 2 weeks, will this effect it or not. very nice. Thanx alot on the warnings and the products you tried and telling us your results so we know a little more about it before someone goes to buy it. Thanx
 
Anyone else, have any additives they use, i am going to my hydro store and looking for some good ideas and what other ppl use so i dont buy random things, since the formulas are expensive. Thanx
 
Voodoo juice, tranchula and phirana in veg with your regular nutes.
Then for bud use Connesuer.. or sensibloom and synsezyme(1-7),b52(2-6),big bud(2-5) . then overdrive(5,6,7). Make sure you use a carboload or karboboost through out your entire grow.
People are getting 2.2 a light with A.N.
 
I started using Subculture-M following a brown algae attack and love the stuff and plan to use beneficial bacteria forever. I add it to the res w/ EWC tea. Way better than guessing at corect levels of H2O2 and trying to run sterile. Plus, I had no choice as H2O2 won't kill this algae. Running beneficial bacteria so far has let me run higher res temps, not worry about light leaks, totally avoid root rot and all algaes, and change the res less often. Plus it claims to promote bigger and better root growth which seems right to me. As soon as I added it to my sick plants the roots got really hairy and took off and it beat the snot out of the algae. Some say that there's no growht benefit to running bennies in DWC but for my problems and the benefits above it's been pure fucking magic.

Cool idea for a thread. I love to see what other people use and like.
 
yea well i just got my hands on silica boost and zho, suppose to stimulate the roots and builds a natural fungi and makes its own microbial system in and around the roots. (just giving it a shot) see if my roots do any batter, but i will say since using it, now for about 8 hours, my roots are looking whiter and healthier. Then Silica boost, i heard was great from a previous post, so i put some in my reservoir, and see how that works and also going to experiment with GRAVITY when it comes to flowering. But yea love hearing what others have to say and what they use and reasoning, gives us in site on what we are getting, and ppl can say they bought new stuff and the results of it. But i will have to say with this ZHO in 8 hours my roots are alot whiter and milky looking, and we will see how it comes along.

I just made a BUBBLE cloner and well i cut the plants at 45 degree angle, right above the nod and it has 3 nodes above it, i shaved a small amount of the outside skin off and then dipped it in the rooting gel and then i put some cloning solution in the water. the stems are just touching the water. IS THIS ALL CORRECT? First time cloning, before i just kept using seeds because i was scared to clone, :( does all this sounds right to you?

But yea ppl plz tell us what you use and if some additives are worth it or just a waste of time. then some info so we can all share about our nuts and get a good grasp of what does what and how it effects our plants and experience using the product. THANK YOU

Sounds correct to me. How much cloning solution did you put in the water?
 
i put about 1/2 cup of solution in 4 gal plastic container. it says use 1 cup per gal but that is alot, since i see ppl not even using this and just root gel
 
ZHO i Declare is AMAZING, my roots are WHITE and they have grown about 25% more and plant is taking in NUTS like no tomorrow and plant had a massive growth spurt.
 
Ive been using the Technoflora recipe for success formula. Plants always do great in veg but start to suffer in bloom. This likely has more to do with a fungus gnat problem I am now getting a handle on.

I have started an experiment using a variation of the Lucas formula using just GH Maxibloom powder. 1tsp per gal, adjust the PH and thats it. No suppliments or additives, just the Maxibloom. It is know as the KISS (keep it simple stoner) method. I am using 2 same strain plants started from seed at the same time. One will be grown in the TF formula and the other using the KISS method.
