Nutrient solution strength issue.

Hi guys, for those of you that take the time to read this thanks in advance.
Now I know I should mix my solution up at less than full strength but when I use the GH Flora series, I noticed that when I use the CALiMAGic, full strength in R/O water then I put as little as 5ml of Micro in 3 gallons of water and the same for Gro and Bloom my Ppm is at 900 and EC at 1.7. That's like WAY below recommended! I haven't dared go beyond that yet. Am I right to not even go half strength or am I missing something?

What is your grow system, and what grow system do they mention in their chart (if any)?

I have fed 1.7 at peak flower, but they're calling for 3.4? I've heard of it being done, but I would fry my girls in flood and drain with rockwool using that EC.

What i do is i make a mix with 1/3 recommended dosage with my nute that works great for start then as the plant grows you will see ppm dropping then i mix a stronger nute 50-100ppm more next day if it drops make stronger if it raises add water.if it stays the same leave it

Different strains will grow with 900 and 1800 you have to just watch her demands there is no recommended chart

What most miss is that these companies want TO SELL YOU MORE FERTILIZER. I always use ppm's (or EC for some) to get an idea cus...yeah... it can be alarming how hot the mix can get with some companies feed charts once ya dump in the 20 additives o_O

Thanks gents. I haven't dared breech 900 and as of right now we are looking good. Been holding for a couple weeks now. One plant still likes to sag at end of 12 hrs but I've just accepted that as her way. New growth green and good. Nothing vigorous in either so I must e permanently stunted them with my inexperience. Got environment much more stable a little too late maybe.

Could be heat/rh causing the sag. I thought I was fighting invisible root rot for a couple weeks before realizing the plants just wanted a balmy 80f. After a good trim (for airflow) and a heat/rh bump, they perked right up.

My temps have been fluctuating from 75 to 78. I turned the light up to 75% to see if it'll help

Maybe you're looking at the "Agressive Strength" recommendation?

1.7 EC is at the top of the "LIght Feed" range

Underfeeding at an EC of 1.7 shouldn't be a concern; you're not missing out on anything -- more isn't better in this context.

I was trying to get all four, calmag and the 3 flora series into the solution without having it at 3. Lol

Even puting 5ml each in 5 gallons I had to take the bucket and split it again and add fresh R/O water, if I remember right. Wound up with too much solution since you don't put even 4 gallons in one bucket. I'm getting there...

There's something off with your numbers or recollection.
1ml/G each, of M+G+B, will be around .25 EC with RO water.
Check your meter or your measurements.

To anybody still following this, the one plant of two was scrapped, it wound up being a male. The second is in flower, 4th week and is looking pretty good with the Lucas formula and shock. This plant has tolerated everything I've thrown at it so far. It's called Zepolli, from GPS. IDK if it will make an 8-10 week flower but we will see. It has been slow going, imo and ATM is still stretching. Thanks to all for your time so far..

Not the most impressive dwc grow and definitely won't produce enough to warrant the energy consumption but it may be my first successful hydro grow. So far so good.
