at what point durring flowering should i begin to lower my nutrient concentration? most fedding schedules show that you start lowering after week 4, ist this standard or sould i go by looks of the buds.
Depends on the strain but in a typical 8 week strain, start at week six and taper off unil final flush in week 8. If strain takes longer than 8 week, keep adding the heaviest concentration until the last three weeks. Good luck!
will the buds fatten up much after i lower the concentration? i ask because i just started week 7 of flowering and they look like they need to fatten up.started lowering nutes at week 6
Yeah they should get more dense. I'm gonna assume from here on out that your strain is an 8 weeker. Some guys just look for the smallest mistake in your post to challenge you on your knowledge.
After the end of week 5, your plants start to turn all that water into tissue, and I'm using lamen words so I don't loose you here. If you follow then keep up. That's why actually, you want to taper off the nutes in whole but actuall raise your phosphorus at the same time. I'm breaking some major rules but lets say your running at 1200 max at the end of week 5. The beginning of week 6 should start with a mild flush for day on, like 400 ppm, and the regular feeding should resume but the ppm should be 1000 ppm while at the same time you keep your p ratio a little higher than normal.
This is how guru's really increase yeild in those fat indica strains! I just gave you free money!
