Nutrient problems

If plants are displaying brown spots indicating nitrogen deficiency fairly late in flowering, it is safe to add some nitrogen or should the plants be left to finish?

plants need nitrogen during all phases of growing.. if the plant is showing any kind of deficiency it should be addressed..unless you are in the last week and are leaching / flushing the plants.. then you want all the nutrients out of the plant.. also if you show the plant and give us more info we can give you a better pin point answer but hell its just a weed anyone can grow it..

As Bass said, but he didn't mention that "brown spots" are NOT a sign of N deficiency.
Here's a chart for you, but pics from you will help us give a good suggestion.
Without seeing them, my first guess would be a K def, but you would also need to figure out why.
Maybe not enough feeding, or PH off and the plant simply cannot access it..View attachment 2715218

If the deficiency photos are correct our sad little trees look like they have late stage p-k-mg deficiency. And over watering. All symptoms appeared miraculously after switching to a fancy 2 part nutrient mid-bloom and installed a bigger fan. Grrrr. And with the sun up till nine i found i light leak just big enough to be one more reason behind my weak buds. /whinge over

eta: i'm in my 25th week-17th week of flowering so yea, I'm just glad they're still alive. Going to try distilled water (have over 400ppm tap here) and go back to my old brew to recover.

They were given some 24/8/16 nutrients. Maybe this will show some improvement.
try to find a more balanced nute for future use! it is most likely a mg deficiency and locking out other nutes while its at it. common

the deficiency photos are crap! it is something you need to observ and lean. a little light leak is not the end of the word and probably has nothing to do with your buds. your fancy 2 part nute is probably lacking in the cal mag department,,, most are. bigger fans= more air exchange =more co2 brought in and oxygen pulled out= more gooder!
