Nutrient deficiencies during flower.

I know it is common for plants to suck all at the nutes and allow leaves to yellow. I am using FFOF and my pot has about 3 inches of room from the top of the soil to the top of the pot. When I see the plant starting to suffer on the lower leaves, would it be a good ideal to fill the top inches of the pot with more, new FFOF? thanks

Are you using mollasses or another source of carbs? Sometimes too many carbs will lock out nitrogen during flower and will cause the lower older leaves to yellow while the new growth remains a darker green. I'd say it has very little to do with how much soil is in your container unless the plant is rootbound and sufficating.

FF strikes again lol how far along in flower? 2 1/2 weeks+ is normal
Nah it was fine for me to plant my clone in, just didnt need any nutes, repotted before i needed them. I just figured around 4-5 weeks into flower, the nutes may of washed out of the soil, was hoping it would add a solid combination of necessary nutes.. I feel like its easy to mess up how much of what to add. im not a scientist. Currently im around 2 weeks into flower. check my sig thread

When I grew in Happy Frog (basically a milder OF-style blend) my plants were happy for a month and a half, then used the soil up all at once. Feeding with dilute GH Flora Series nutes worked for me. cn

Ive never understood not feeding (watering with h2o only). I understand organics, I understand Veganics, I understand synthetics, and I understand blowing them up, but Ive never understood not feeiding at all. Cannabis loves nutrients, mirco nutrients, and carbs, and most strains can withstand a per chart fedding schedule. I'm a huge fan of carbs and sugars. The old Bud Candy used to do wonders for resin production and flavor, now products like Cutting Edge's Sugaree have taken their place. Anyways just curious on your meanings behind your methods...

no no no you misunderstood me. I use FFOF, and I have big bloom, grow big, and tiger bloom. Through the entire veg period i TRIED watering with big bloom and grow big at different times, but even at 1/4 dose, had problems with nute burn, although I had never had it with solely the soil. Before flowering, I repotted with FFOF, but have not tried feeding with grow big or big bloom in flower, but have used a full dose of tiger bloom, which honestly might of been a little much. I will probably go down to 1 tsp/gal on my next feeding day. I am also feeding with 1 tsp of unsulphured molasses every watering. I feel that the next time i will try big bloom will be right after my flush next week. but i will still do a very small dose. Was just wondering if adding some fresh soil to the top would be good lol.

and people, im not currently having problems with my plant.. just planning for the future so i dont run into problems.
today is the start of week 3 of flowering. which means this batch of FFOF is 4 weeks old.

if its not to late already you should prolly pull the plant out then fill pot up then put the plant back in so the roots can go through the new dirt

You should be fine with Tiger Bloom and Big Bloom as the additive. Big bloom is just a guano tea and have very little punch and I can't see how it would burn even at 4x recommended strength.

And I think it's Fox Farm that recommends that you go back and give it Grow again at like week five for one week..

You might want to think about a Calmag type product to boost up the calcium and magnesium in flower. Seems to be the most common problem in mid to late flowering. You can get there many ways but the best way to avoid it is to supplement before it becomes a problem.
