Nutrient burn ?

Hello guys,
First timer ,some of you might recognize me from an earlier post. Well Im back and this time after a hot 100 degree weekend my two ladies were looking a little fried edges of plants curled up and inwards. I trimmed some of the affected leaves (should you leave or remove affected foliage?) but left some because i wanted to see if they could recover. During the minor heat wave i watered one of them and fed the other that was due to be fed. I fed it 1/2 teaspoon of Maxigrow from GH in a little bit over half a gallon of water PHed to 7.3 making it come out 6.4 because my PH has been around 6 and iv been reading soil should be at 6.5. So please let me know what you think i can give more photos if necessary. Also what im doing is keeping them on my porch during sunlight hours and supplementing last couple hours with about 180 watt CFLs.
I really appreciate the help!

What kind of soil, what is the NPK of the nutes, how old is the plant, how big is the pot you're growing in?

I'm apprehensive about giving nutrient advice, but will share what work for me. With quality organic soil mix from my experience I don't even feed them for the first 3-4 weeks as the soil contains organic nutes in itself. However I do use a minimum of 5 gallon pots, so that's quite a bit of room for roots to grow an continue to find new food. That container your plant is in is too small for the plant to run all the way through flowering. Re potting wil likely be difficult without shocking the plant.

How did your plant look before the heatwave? did it suffer though extremely dry soil at some point?

Do you have anymore seeds?

@BullShark Yeah i waited until the 3rd week to start giving it 1/4 strength nutrients bc I posted on this my leaves were yellowing and got the advice to start. If you can look it at my page its my only other post. But yeah i would do 5 gallon pots its just that I plan to have these indoor in a small closet and didnt want them to be taller than maybe 3 feet. But i was thinking about that because Iv seen a few roots peaking out the bottom. But what do you suggest I am trying to LST it to keep it smaller its about 11 at its highest point.

The plants looked honestly great, one growing way faster than the other but yeah no sign of the edges curling up at all untill after the first day. No, i dont think the roots could have been affected by super dry soil because i watered them after the first day because I knew it would be just as hot the second day but this time I left them in the shape.

And yes i have a few more in my random bag of seeds. Dont tell me they are done for):

IMG_1788.JPG If those were mine I would be trying to cut the plastic pots off at the edges so I could re-pot it in a larger container. To limit height I would buy gardening wire and train the plant to grow low profile like in this photo and veg the plant until she recovers.

That's just me though. Sometimes you have to trust your instincts and live and learn. :blsmoke:

Root formation needs to be a priority.... your plants need to be transplanted to have a chance at recovery..
You can make a plant grow wider than it is tall!!

@HydoDan Thanks for the response! alright yeah the reason i went from solo cup to square 7x7 is because of the amount of room i have to work with I have a 5 gallon pot and its pretty big I dont think Id be able to fit 2 5 gal. What would you recommend i do in that case? and with nutrient burn should i watch new growth for affected edges or is it gonna start from Older leaves first????? like how do i know its still not happening cause they dont look like they are getting worse. Please let me know what you think @BullShark

@HydoDan alright thanks for the help man
imma look into getting a few 3 gallon square pots today then.
Meanwhile, Could you help me out with a few newbie questions
1. Should I wait a few days to let the plant recover a bit before transplanting.?
2. Should i trim the leaves with burnt edges off or leave them on?
