I found that dealing with living soil most of the time you should inspect the bag in terms of freshness (moisture) and smell.
A good soil mix should smell like a wet rain forest kinda thing and should be very moist, not drowning in water but not lacking in them.

^ This!!! If those little things survive the nutrient onslaught, you're definitely going to have tiny burnt plants.

After transplanting, those tap roots are going to shoot to the bottom of that pot, and OD on nutrients.

No, I'm going to remove it today and replace with less much hot soil, then put back in with coco coir, soil and perlite. Keeping it simple until they get big.
