nutrient burn vs potassium deficiency

To start off, pics will help more than anything.

Generally, the easiest way to figure out whether your over (toxicity) or under (deficiency) is by just taking a common sense approach. Have you been feeding plenty? What's the feed/water schedule like? Hydro or soil, organic or synthetic nutes, etc..

Sometimes just looking at the plant won't give you an answer without then other variables.

I'll go ahead and tell you tho, 90% of the time its toxicity/nute burn/ eutrophication/ whatever you wanna call it.

What kind of soil are you using? Normally you'd want to flush with ph'd water, 3x the volume of your container.

Sorry man, I get really busy sometimes and can't get on here for a while but yeah absolutely, as long as you have good drainage just flush flush flush with water the next time you go to water them. As long as you have plenty of holes in the bottom and good drainage then you don't have to worry about over watering. Pretend the water is liquor (ph'd to 6.2 or so) and your plants are alcoholics, and this is the last time they can ever get drunk.

But really just a few details would help, are growing in soil? Or hydro? And what brand of nutes do you use

Okay yeah, I can't remember exactly what the best pH is for hydro, I grow soil, but the pH for hydro is a little lower. I think like 5.8-6.2 or 6.3 is ideal for hydro and around 6.2-6.5 is best for soil. Do you check you pH? If you can, at least buy either cheap pH strips or the cheap pH dye that colors your water and let's you know if its really high or really low. With hydro especially you need to always make sure the pH of your water is correct before you put it in your reservoir. Your water can be at pH 7, and then adding your nutes will really make it low, like around 4.5 or even less possibly, so you would have to use some pH plus to take it up to your target of 5.8 or whatever.

But salts can built up in hydro systems, so every once in a while (I think its like every two weeks or so) you need to just flush with straight pH'd water. A lot of times water comes out of the tap either neutral or slightly basic, so in that instance you would have to add some pH minus to get it down to your target 5.8.

If you are using nutrients and are using the recommended feeding amounts then I doubt you have a deficiency. Either you have a salt build up or just general nute burn, or your pH is off keeping the nutrients locked out. Either way, your best bet is to drain your res and fill it back up with water that you have taken to pH of 5.8. Only give it water until you see signs of improvement, it shouldn't take too long since your using (I'm pretty sure) synthetic nutes.

I usually put 5 ML of drip clean info the res every week to help salt build ups.

I am also around 5.6-5.8 right now

I know last water change my PPM was 2355 I know it's high, so this water cycle I started at 1635 but am now 1313 PPM

I will flush with straight PPM water for 3-4 days before I add any nutrients

I just changed my res. I added 20 ML of zone, 3 ML of drip clean. Ill let stay like this till Sunday or Monday, what do you all think? Should I go longer?

PH was 5.6 - 5.7 water temp was 78 when I left, but thats because I just flushed the water. I dropped a 2L frozen bottle of water into the res to chill the water down a tad.

It usually sits at around 72-74 for the water, thats also why I use ZONE

PPM was 277

Get your water temps down to 70* or less...thats to warm for your res.

Yeah I don't grow hydro but I've also heard to try and keep res temps at a stable 70 or slightly below.

Your ppms were slap through the fucking roof at that high (did you say 23 or 2600?). I think it probably was nute burn at those levels, I would probably not take it above 1500 next time you refill your res until you see how the plant does. Honestly, even 1500 is pretty high but if you've worked your way up with the ppm then that should be fine.

But yeah, if the burn wasn't too bad then they should fully recover in a week tops. But if there was any necrosis or damaged parts then those might be lost.

What week are you in? Are you in flower?

About week 4 into flower, and honestly my water temps aren't big issue because its ebb and flow and not Dwc
