sweet for his answer, it sounds great. depending on what light he uses all hes got to control is, how much light he uses. my plants were outdoors and the direct sun will kill the plant. 12/12 is good but id say stay in the 80's for temp keep the light far from the plant and do have coated mylar. im currently doing this and will repost this on his yahoo later.https://www.rollitup.org/gardening/478125-weather-issues-can-bring-them.html

The lack of grammatical punctuation these days casts a large, dark shadow over our current education system; It makes me sad.

I was thinking of growing some hot peppers for my boiled peanuts indoors and started to explore lighting schedules, etc. I couldn't help but laugh when I came across this http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091118220210AAEQ6aT
Bro, they arent a native english speaker obviously. Thats mean to make fun of them for that. I'm sure they are self conscious about their speaking or writting ability but put themselves in a vulnerable position to help someone out. Dont make fun of them.

How fluent are you in other languages?

When I followed the link, I was amused by the nature of the question (should I do 12/12?) and didn't notice the asker's language. I assumed that fireproof was pointing out that the asker was referring to a bit of weed-grower's lore and tech. Did i miss the entire point? :dunce: cn

Two corrected options; take your pick! :D cn
Ya ya ya, I just accidentally pressed the semicolon key, I didn't leave punctuation out all together.

I'll never buy that as an excuse, it's called Spell Check. It's one thing to speak differently than someone else, but they're typing. There isn't absolutely a wrong way to speak, but there is a wrong way to type text. No excuse.

Sorry there mate ... ordinarily I "live and let live" in the presence of troubled grammar, spelling andor syntax. But when an oopsie pops up in a post that points out a language error, I figure it's fair game.

Imo ... Spell Check is more bane than boon. While it can reduce outright misspellings, I always notice that malapropisms (not quite the right word, typically a near-homonym) and the whole your/you're type shenanigans expand to fill in the small clean space left behind. cn

Theres a lot more to a language than spelling, one of the most arbitrary points of the language. I get a strong feeling it wasnt her spelling being laughed at but her grammar. Again, how mmany laguages do you speak? Do you always speak them perfectly too?

I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about, I just thought it was funny that the question asker immediately assumed a 12-12 lighting schedule for peppers. Is 12-12 something universal for many different types of plants, or is it something almost exclusive to marijuana?

Vindicated!!! Heeeyaaaah! ~giggle~

Here's a link about "long day" v. "short day" plants.
http://www.easyhydroponics.net/setting-up-hydroponic-light-timing-schedule.html

Tomatoes are the prototypical "long day" plants, which is why they fruit so well throughout summer. Veging weed is "long day" and can be switched effectively to bud by adopting a short-day lighting regimen.
I looked it up: peppers are "long day' plants and will fruit most effectively under, say, 18/6. They don't grow well next to indoor cauliflower, which needs 12/12 to set flower. cn
