The Sun Gets bigger with age and will eventually explode. As the sun gets bigger it gets brighter and more radiation penetrates the surrounding atmospheres (earth). Yep, the time is ticking on the oven that the earth is in and we will be well cooked by then.

If anyone knows of a more recent reference on the Sun's evolution, please provide it.

So this guy says an inch a year being a mathematical fact. I definitely foresee an increase in skin disorders and cancer in the coming years.

The points brought up from global warming activists are still valid as they do contribute to the decline in health of our overall planet though. They are just not the cause of this issue.

i think whan fact that is commonly left out of the global warming bandwagon is this-
over the past few millenia, our little mudball has overgone several periods of both warming and cooling. some of those periods were so extreme that the entire planet was covered in ice over a mile thick. (not the recent ice age were all taught about in grade school) on the other end of the scale what is now antartica was in fact a lush tropical paradise, and what are now rain forests were once barren desert wastelands, and area such as the gobi and sahara (dont quote my on my spelling, im just too lazy to correct it) were lush savannah grasslands and steppes such as found in western russia.
for the past 100,000 years the planet has been in a cool period, and all signs indicate we are appearing to be entering a warming up period, that is probably slightly accelerated by our love of carbon emmisions. scientists have been taking core samples from antartica and analyzing trapped pockets of gas in them and comparing that to geologic data about warm and cool periods in the planets past, and a single correlation stands out in every sample, regardless of ageor location: ech and every single warm period we have been able to accuratly determine was preceded by a build up of both carbon dioxide and methane gasses in the atmosphere, just like what is happening today. the only difference between now and then is that the gases were always released geologically, from volcanos.
so am i going to be trading in my GTO for a hybrid...?
