Now it's legal in Seattle where I'm from. What kind of grow businesses will prosper?

There are so many new opportunities opening up for the Cannabis Entrepreneur. Legally. In my state we just FULLY legalized Marijuana on Dec. 6th. Microsoft millionaires are jumping in. There are expos set up for business people in suits deciding how to capitalize on the industry.

Where do you think the industry is headed? Should Grow stores finally admit their products are for growing Cannabis?

What new business ideas do you think will be successful in this new environment? Tourism for Seattle and Colorado. Bed & Breakfasts. Cannabis Cruise ships.

What do you think?

hey bro, I live in Lynnhood, wa. You know what legalization is gonna do. Raise the price. Right now I can get an oz for $140-180. At a dispensary that pays 10% sales tax, I can get an oz for $250 if I am lucky. I grow and started a year ago. Got my card and started growingI have reduced that caost significantly. Up'n my grow too. Taking clippings and turning them into starts. Problem is, I had issues with my last flower hermie, so I am a little behind. With all the new taxes that will be levied on pot and the fact that a state run agency, The Liquor Control Board, will be in charge of something they know nothing about is a recipe for disaster. One of the reason the state wanted control, is so they can control the THC level. Back in the 60's and 70's THC levels rarely got over 10%. In the 80's and 90's pot got more potent. Now most growers understand quite a bit of chemistry. To bad most stoners didnt pay attention in school. LOL. So I see marijuana doubling in price. I see people without ther MMJ card paying $20/gram. Some dispensaries already charge $15/g+10% sales tax. I dont know how they get away with it. I go to dispensaries that sell $10/g.

Well, it sucks I'm stuck far away from Washington with a house payment. The market is going to be absolutely flooded.

vermicompost; compost teas are the hardest to find/make for lazy people. if you had a place with readily available teas/ per-order teas i think it'd be successful. these teas are very cheap and you could charge a good amount. you'd have to sell them in something that keeps them aerated though. you could offer to innoculate gardens (go to peoples houses and spray their plants) and charge 50-100$ an hour, with a backpack sprayer and something aerating it. They also have lawn mowers that have a hopper type thing on the back it pulls and as the wheels turn it pumps the solution out onto their lawn. Harvard's grass is a fine example they use a compost tea system and get like 5x the root mass for their grass.

Small time growers like myself won't have a chance in the marijuana business. We are gonna have to stick together and form collectives, co-ops, etc, to compete with the big boys. But its gonna be hard as fuck to compete with these business men/women who already have businesses, just looking to get extra cash.

Pot bars, Clubs, co-ops, Its a untouched Billion dollar industry ( not counting the medical side). If you pay attention to the liquor control boards website, they pretty much have the tax system figured out 25% at each stage Grow/Process/Retail and its estimated that it will be between 8-12 a gram at the retail level, So really prices arent going to go up, but the price you sell to the retailer is going to go down to accommodate for taxes. So a grower is gonna be selling to the processor for like 3 bucks a gram plus tax and by the time its on shelfs its the same as most of us are paying now. Interestingly enough the state is allowing growers to be processors but a grower or processor isnt allowed to do retail sales. Retail locations are limited to 160 Sq.IN. of signage and only allowed to carry cannabis, cannabis infused products, and accesories.....just a little bit of knowledge for ya all to think about.

The fucking state of Washington is bullshit! They give up alcohol, just to grab marijuana. With their ridiculous taxes, I wont be surprised if the "street" dealers make even more money.

Does it really matter, the be all end all is we have what we wanted..LEGAL POT, Im not mad at that at all. you can bitch about the system all you want but OFFICIALLY on the BOOKS WA and CO have the most relaxed marijuana laws in the WORLD, Amsterdam For example Has a 4g limit WA has a 28g limit...Come on enjoy it and live on, its a plant if you dont wanna pay for it GROW it There are plenty of ways to legally do that too dispite it being illegal under wa's 502

what does that mean . . . . we sell alcohol in our stores, any stores like cali, and our weed has been the cheapest in the country based on quality and quantity for over 2 years, and whats wrong with street dealers?

some of you "word" smiths for get your all drug takers and dealers under federal law . . . so to make any distiction between medical and street is just straight snobby elitism or fear, fear that you will get lumped in to there troubles if you admit you serve the same purpose

respect where your shit comes from or continue to be a mark as trick
