Transplanted after 3 weeks they looked very stong and healthy before the transplant. They are starting to devlope yellow leaves now and some brown spots. I used scotts potting soil mixed 50/50 with the premium nature mix. Im running one 150 watt HPS and one 400 watt MH. Any input would be appriecated i dont want to lose them.

First thing is that soil is not the best, just being honest. need thing i notice is that the lights dont look that bright. Also i cant really tell if your soil is wet or dry, but looks dry to me. What kind of soil did you have them in before you transplanted? Also do you have a fan to curculate the air in your grow area? if not, get one. But it looks like they dont like that new soil you gave them, looks like a few things are your prob here.

Hey no problem! I wasent sure what soil to use...... its my first grow i have 3 more little ones to transplant soon what do you recommend for soil? I live in alberta canada so there isent a whole lot to pick from. I do have a fan going 24/7 pushing air and the soil i used to start them was the "miracle grow seed starter" it worked pretty good i think.. As for the lights they look quite a bit brighter in person i think its just the camara distorting it... Thanks for the response!

I was trying to do some research on what soil company are around. Looks like Roots Organics is is based in canada, try to see if you can get some of this soil. Looks like they are based in B.C. Canada, not sure how close that is to you. You might find some local nursey's that might carry better soil also. Miracle grow is not the best either, but its better than the Scott's soil. I also wanted to ask whats your temps in the grow area ?

Temps are 24-27 i did read about the miracle grow that it isent that great. so i chose to stay away from it. I suppose i should have did some more reserch on the skotts as well. Maybe i will just buy some plain old potting soil with nothing in it and give it a try for the next 3 plants. i wonder if i should mix it with that nature mix again? or just ditch them both all together.

Ditch them both together, get some regular potting soil and just add your nutes. Start your nutes at 1/4 strength, then go up as time progress go's on. Do you have outside fresh air coming into your grow area? if not, something you might want to consider. Are you in a cabinet or just in a room ?

USE SUNSHINE MIX #4 for your soil, its just regular potting soil and you just add your nutes to it,,, MJ plants love that shit its all i use for over 5 years of MJ growing,, and any plant will not to so well after transplant for a week or 2 then it will start getting stronger then ever before, this is because everytime you transplant any plant not just MJ, it gets shocked from the transplanting,,, no need to worry bro they should come back.

room 004.jpgroom 003.jpgroom 002.jpgHere are some pics of the set up. I draped the reflective blankets for more light reflection. Any input on how to improve this set up is welcome. I live out in the country the closest other farm is about 2 km away so im not worried about anyone seeing in through the window. If the pics look a little unclear its caues the hummidity is at %50-%55

You still wanna cover the window, so you get complete darkness. So when you switch to 12/12 cycle, you get that 12 hours of dark.

hey bro i am from southern BC, and i have never seen it in rona walmart or homedepo,, but if you have a local indoor hydroponics shop chances are they carry it for sure,,, i get mine from a local hydro store in the town im from, and they carry it by the mother loads bails apon bails of it.... so i would say go there first if you have one,,,, check out my grow journal my girls have been growing in SUNSHINE MIX #4 since seedlings, also i agree with KUSH714 i would cover up that window,,, i mean it wont make much of a difference if youu have a little bit of light leakin in, BUT THE DARKER THE BETTER FORSURE

Thanks guys, I will up date the thread in a few days on the progression of the plants. I'm going to pick up 3 more HPS lights this evening:) as for the window I might use the other room for flowering since my other plants won't be ready. And the window will be sealed right up. I remember reading you need %100 darkness during the flowering stage. There is a green house just a few km away I'm gonna stop in there and quiz them up about the potting soil.
