Thank god it was only a buy election (did you like that?) If his majesty calls an early election, I will lose it. But the good news is that the liberals made gains. Is it true there was only a 20% turnout or did I hear that wrong?

I heard there was about 35% turnout in Whitby but didn't see the Alberta #'s. They were both strong CON riding's, so no surprise. I have a feeling Herr Harptler will call an election in Feb. after the budget. OR, with Harptler's history of shutting down parliament when things get rough, how's this for a conspiracy scenario; Harper joins the US in Iraq with troops on the ground. He can then use the clause in our constitution that allows him to postpone the vote beyond the 5 year limit due to 'war time' measures.

Marked and dated in the calendar. Absolutely nothing Harptler would do now that would surprise me. He's nothing more than a smug arrogant prick whose time has come. I thought the point of fixed date elections was to know when an upcoming change could be made? I guess my understanding of that concept is flawed.

The Alberta riding was 18% I think

I think voter turnout would increase if the public stopped drinking fluorinated water. It creates apathy in all aspects of life. There's a reason Hitler was big on using it to control the masses
