A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares about more than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
-- John Stuart Mill, writing on the U.S. Civil War in 1862

There are two freedoms — the false, where a man is free to do what he likes; the true, where he is free to do what he ought. ~Charles Kingsley

”He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security.”
Benjamin Franklin

But people see nothing wrong with making a mockery of the statue of liberty for shits and giggles when it comes to Halloween. Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I would prefer to see the statue of liberty not be subject to such great disgraced. I am utterly pissed and offended by this action.

The Statue of Liberty represents many things, among them friendship between nations and freedom from oppression. Before air travel, ships would sail into New York Harbor and Lady Liberty would welcome their passengers, many of them being immigrants traveling to the United States for the first time. Lady Liberty is one of the first sites when sailing into the harbor, and she is symbolic of freedom.

NOT COOL! This is disrespectful, to our own nation, to the friendship between nations and everything else the statue represents.

it looks fake as hell imo.

I didn't even read about it myself and hardly paid attention to the video. So I don't even know whats going on.

I'm always confused, and I do have some traits from the autism spectrum so things don't always make sense and people don't always explain things.

That's racist, the PC term is Planet of the African-Americans.

true. though i'd rather converse about rick scott and how i will personally evict him from the capitol building when the time comes.

and blow smoke in pam bondages pie hole that swallows rick's cock any chance she gets.

It sucks, I hate making eye contact and have been accused of having a lazy eye more times than I can recall.
Or people think I'm going to steal their shit because I will look at something in a room instead of making eye contact.
Woman think I'm a perv when I end up staring at their boobies.
Cops are some of the worst offenders of being rude about eye contact with me.
Cop: "You will look me in the eye when I speak to you."
Then there is me who is usually pretty modest and I just say nothing.
I should have said I didn't ask you to speak to me. If I wanted any lip from you then you would hear my zipper.
