Northernlights / Pure Afghani

this will be a str8 ( floro )fluorescent grow !!

im starting off with 3 26wt cfl`s( 100w each equivalence )

then im takein two 4ft floro fixtures to put over them and takein the cfl`s out

last year i used 250w cfl`s and 250w hps and it was great

also i will only be usein m.g soil , which is high in nitrogen but will still work for me

im growin 1 northenlights and 2 pure afghani

when this is all done and over i`ll have 3 beautiful plants that i grew for less then $50

now i know that this is really cheap and also way less lumens then i got with my hps

so please dont criticize this cheap ass set up , ( believe me i know ) lol

ok this first pic is my 3 babies , the 2 p.afghani`s are 6 days old and the n.l is 3

days old , now this pic is shitty cuz i took it with my phone but hopefully ill have me a better camera soon...

their doing quit well under these 3 cfl`s right now

ill be putting the floro fixtures over them in a few weeks hell maybe sooner

ok heres 3 days later on 18/6 cycle under the 3 cfl`s

still waiting on camera fuck these shitty phone pics lol

ok its been roughly 2 weeks and their doing ok besides the one in the back

i believe the high nitrogen in the mg is trying to take its toll on it

but like i said this is a cheap ass grow with mg and we all no mg is high in (N)

also im gonna transplant into bigger pots this afternoon

cuz their only in 6oz lil ice cream cups right now

so im just gonna continue on my journey ......

they had massive roots i wish i would have thought about taking pics of them also

yea the one one the right was turning yellow

like i said this it is a mg grow and i believe the high (n) in it was taking its toll on it

but its coming back around now and the pots are the 8" pots

that you can get at wal-mart for about 2-3 bucks

im wanna get at least 36" plants in these pots but well see

here are some updated pics at 3 weeks old !!

i water them about every 2-3 days and i got my lights about 3'' from the tops

their is absolutely no stretching , their starting to fill out pretty well now

and the n.l is about 3 days younger but is surpassing the p. afghani`s

18/6 under the 3 26wt cfl`s i should be putting the other fixtures over them next week !!

coolcool babe-- I need bigger pots for mine badly, I'm afraid I'm suffocating them at the roots.. and I've got yellowing as well meh but what do you expect for an investment of roughly $10 for an entire grow..anyway still watching! good luck bro

what soil are you using , im using mg so im pretty sure the high (n) in it is whats causing my yellow tint in the one

but i could be wrong and it might be something else but its clearing up now sooooo

$10 set up id like to see what you got for that can you post any pics ?

Having started under floros with my first grow last year, I know it'll give ya some bud....I did move on to veggin under T5 and flowering under 400w hps but it was the simple and cheap methods that I cut my teeth on.
And you're definitely right....patience is a must .........btw...I use MG mostly also....patience is req'd to resist watering...........until it's time.

i always start under floros then i use hps for flowering

but i dont have the same set up that i used last year cuz i was in prison for 9 months

so i had my mom sell my eq so she could get my kids some presents for x-mas

now im having to star fresh so im going cheap for now

cuz the smoke is just for me anyway ( im not a dealer )

but i will for sure be getting another hps set up

plus iv been clearing out an are in the woods for next year

i got a nice huge grow that im gonna be doing next season

and i will do a journal on that also !!!...
