Hey all, new to RIU and have been researching growing for a good amount of time and finally decided to give it a try. So far my grow has 3 42 wat 6500k CFL's with 2 40 watt 2700 long tubes and a few extra 20 watt 2700 and 6500 CFL's. They have been growing slow but i just placed them on their first batch of nutrients called Buddah Grow (the veg nut's for now).

Plants started on 24 hour light regiment, 808 provides great weather so every day WHEN i can i put my plants outside in natural sunlight for the better part of the day. So essentially im "hardening off" my plants, is that ok to do so early?

Plants are on an 18/6 grow regiment for now, will change for flowering

the Great White Shark i have some problems with since the beginning, slow growth and i guess oddly deformed?

-the Northern lights has some damage on the leaves but i THINK they may be catipillers or some sort of pest in their, let me know if anybody has insight on whats wrong with either the NL or the GWS

gotta leave my plants in the hands of my buddy i live with until saturday im going on a mini vacation, so here are some pics before i put them into his care for the week.

all of them the northern lights, diesel, and great white shark are doing pretty good on 18/6, im gonna switch them to 12/12 outdoor for a few days when i get back then bring them indoor and keep the lights on 12/12, indoor will have ABSOLUTE darkness where the outdoor 12/12 will be more like some twilight darkness.

anyways, the veg nutes are doing the girls good ive seen a great spur of life in them since i started using them. tell me what you guys think of them so far for a first time grower?!

These recent pics look like they really took off. I think the reason they were growing slow for you was that you had them in too large of a pot when they were young. You have to restrict the container size, otherwise the roots are the only thing growing.
