Northern Light shriveled leaves and buds...really weird.

I bought 4 seeds from Gypsy Nirvana in Feb. 2010, FM-4, Northern Light. I planted two of the seeds and the seedlings struggled, tiny shriveled leaves but finally looked OK at about three weeks. These were transplanted to a spot in the country (some of the richest soil in the US). I germinated the other two and planted them in a completely different spot, miles away. These last two also struggled while germinating.

The first two in the country died, and they were planted along side two Trainwrecks and four White Widows that are doing fine. The second two looked fairly good through veg. When they started to bloom, the same shriveled, stunted look returned. Attached are four images of the two survivors, plus one clone from the plant. It's 9/20, and these are not going to bud. I'm thinking bad genetics. Any opinions?northern4.jpgnorthern3.jpgnorthern2.jpgnorthern1.jpg

i transplanted some 8 day old seedlings into plagron bat mix, and the shrivelled leaves happened, i think it is because the soil is too rich, the plants struggled through until they were about 10 inches tall then they seemed to clear up, but they were retarded, and after 6 weeks looked about as big as i would have expected after 2 weeks.
