Northern Light Blue & Tangerine Dream LED Grow

Looking awesome!! I love the way the LEDs make the buds look.

End of week 11 for the Tangerine Dream. I am going to let it go another week - checking throughout to make sure I don't miss the peak of its ripeness. It is getting really smelly - but it is a very thick, sweet, fruity smell more than a dank or fuel-ish smell. Lots of crystal growth this last week which definitely seems to support the idea that it isn't quite ready. Hairs have really just started going red on the main cola.

Duudical you totally make me want to start my TD grow tomorrow. Awesome plants bro! Hang in there, don't chop too soon. And +rep for those beauties too.

Harvested the Tangerine Dream tonight. This plant rocked. Super easy to grow and really responded to being topped which upped the yield considerably I think. I don't have a scale at my house so I don't know the specific weight of the main cola but it is heavy and completely solid

It's hanging up to dry and now the impatience begins But I did cut a smaller, fluffier bud a few days ago and let it dry to sample and it is a nice and enjoyable mix of head and body effect. Happy so far.

Thanks man! I am glad I kept a mother of this one - I would definitely grow it again. Most of the talk about TD around RIU is negative and it seems there are a shitload of phenos out there. I must have gotten something decent because from day 1 it grew well and based on what we have tried so far (some smaller buds that I clipped and hung about 5 days ago) it is a really nice smoke. Doesn't knock you on your ass like the NLB can do if you cross a very thin line

That TD haul looks massive...

really interested by the addition of the CFLs to the grow. I'v decided to bulk up my latest grow (in sig) with some CLFs since reading.. thanks for putting me onto it!

I think the CFLs did make a difference. But really only because my LEDs aren't that great. Most current gen LEDs have a much better representation of white in them that would remove the need for my CFLs. I added them because the plants looked deficient and after trying all kinds of nutrient adjustments, someone suggested the spectrum might have some important ranges missing. These are large 2700K bulbs that put out a good deal of light and don't heat up the tent at all. I imagine I could do some improvements on this and add some reflectors which I will most likely do eventually. But my plants look healthy under the LED/CFL combo and so far they have produced large sticky buds. Maybe not as dense as they could be under HID lighting - but since my grows are all personal I am content with the trade offs. I will say the LEDs seem to really cause great resin production - sticky as fuck.

Got myself a brand new Da Buddha vape and the Tangerine Dream is very nice out of it. The effect doesn't seem to last as long as the NLB did, but it is still an overall pleasant experience. Definitely more indica feeling than the sativa-leaning effect I thought it would have. But whatever. Still nice.

Great job bringing home the bacon Duudical! I bet that TD gets a more refined high in a few weeks or so from curing. TD does produce some monsters, though not everyone gets dense nugs it seems. Or at least those who don't throw their TD out of the window! LOL

For sure I can notice a difference in it already - but I probably won't grow it again. It was fun plant to grow, but there are a lot of others I would like to try and I have to get make room. Not terrible smoke though - but definitely not anything to get crazy about either. I am stoked to see how the Purple Wreck from Reserva Privada turns out - have about 3 weeks to go. All the strain reviews have been overwhelmingly positive about it. It's lookin' good too!
