yea thats the thing with NC, most of the better bud is either in the mountains around Asheville, or around Wilmington. Other places have it, just not in the same quantity.
asheville has definitely got really dank bud pretty consistently and for around 50 an 8th.
wilmington seems to be overrun with beasters and the headies is usually harder to find and more expensive. maybe I just dont know the right people. seems like everybody is on that nasty beasters down at the coast.... if you are in the area please prove me wrong and hook a brother up......:shock::shock: I HATE BEASTERS!!!!!

Small update tonight. Lost one of my Afghan Kush clones to root rot. I guess it took a while to set in. Everything else looks good.
ah that sucks! that shit got me too on a couple, i think it was from all of that rain... and the roots not really having a chance to dry out before the rot set in...

I'm still waiting on the ones in the closet to show sex so I can figure out what i'm doing.

I'll be going to the beach for a week sunday, so i need to get out there and water them really good before i leave. I don't think i'll feed them yet, it's pretty smelly stuff so i want to be around leaving my scent as well so nothing gets too brave and starts digging shit up.

also, I tilled my veggie garden again and finally planted some more shit. 9 pepper plants (bell, yellow bell, banana), 6 straight eight cucumbers, 6 clemson spineless okra. along with that, I already have the squash i posted pictures of, tomatoes, and bush lake beans.

lost another one due to animals again. I've been pissing, using smelly soap, and even coyote piss... but every time i disturb the soil it attracts pests, who come along and start digging up my plants. It was one of my Kush plants too.

which got me to thinking... why not do a hash crop? i have about 2-300 seeds laying around, maybe i'll just soak them in water for 24hrs and go out putting them in the ground around my plot. i wouldn't have to worry too much about males, or individual plants so much. plant, wait, harvest, hash.

once I get some ladies to show in my closet, I think I will put those in buckets / containers and put them elsewhere. I feel like i'd have a better chance hiding a few plants spread out amongst the area.

i dunno, opinions?

Ouch. Sorry ya'll, hate to hear about lost plants. Bugs and animals have been merciful on me so far, and weather's only cost me one. Those flowering pics are great, WW.

Here's an overview pic from today, two or three have this weird shit going on with the leaves, they are getting little bubble looking bumps on them. I added closeups of it if anyone has any ideas.

You will have to worry about males if they're anywhere close to your main ladies.

I've thought about doing something similar but it's hard to find places where no one will go around here and when I find a good one with good light then I'd like to put a good plant there :D

What if someone finds a male on accident walking through the woods and calls the law and they sweep the area and take everything?

I don't know your situation, but if you have a place where you can get by putting a pot plant there than I would try to let it get it's full potential.

yea it's a tough one. my female only crop and my male/female hash crop would separated by at least 1/4 mile of thick wooded area. I don't think the pollen would be an issue. my spot for the clones is also better hidden and gets more light...

the hash spot gets less sunlight, and has a lot more animal traffic. I'll probably put down about 50 seeds and let it do it's thing.

I feel you on being greedy with the good spots for the females only... it's hard not to see the full potential of a plot, picturing those big colas in the sunlight...

we'll see. Leaving for the beach in the morning, i'll have plenty of time to think about it over the next week.

Thanks Angus. After looking around a bit for your problem I haven't seen that outdoor except on one of my skunk clones. Inside I would definately say that is heat stress, but outside it could be humidity.

Those curling leaves ended up drying out and falling off all my plants, and they were all clones. So who knows, maybe it isn't a bad thing. Maybe the plant is using up all the nutrients out of those leaves to feed the new growth until the roots get healthier.

Visited my girls tonight to shake the water off from the rain today. Everything is good. They have all grown over the last two days. Here are some pics.

Good to have you. Whatcha growin'?

Bag seed for now. I'm indoor with CFLs for vegging and am currently germinating some seeds and put some in the dirt last night since they had a nice little tail on them. Choices are limited since I don't know anyone in my area to get clones or seed from. What about you?

You're headed to the beach? Which beach? I know Myrtle Beach is pretty crowded right now for Memorial Day and there's a lot of checkpoints, just a heads-up if you're headed there..

Ghost - I'm growing trainwreck, afghan kush, super skunk, and northern lights. I braved the legality of ordering seeds from the UK and it worked out no problem.

Good luck this spring and summer and keep us updated.

I too have ordered from across the pond, 4 times now and not a single problem. In fact they keep shipping faster and faster.

Check out this video I took on my camera, it is a little shaky but it gives a good idea on my Indoor setup.

Make sure you pay attention to the Monster Thai Skunk in the back, she keeps popping up new bud sites everywhere! They may end up as small nugs but I am not even going to mess with it anymore. I have already topped several times, fimmed, and supercropped. She has taken some stress training but keeps growing like a beast.

These are the same plants as outside so it will be cool to compare :)

For some reason RIU won't let me embed it in a thread.

DownOnWax - are those the freebies from Attitude? I haven't put mine in the ground yet.

I had read stories of people's seeds getting confiscated by the feds when ordering overseas. Mine got here exactly 7 days from when my order went through. Wrapped in a cheesy tshirt. I was expecting a branded shirt, but I can't complain.

All the plants I have have been cloned and cloned and cloned. Lots were given to friends, so the genetics will be around here for a good while.

Yeah, the one in the front and the one in the back are the freebies from Attitude, the short one that is farther along is the GHS Church. Attitude is great and it is the only company I will order from now on, last order took 4 days to get to me.

I had to grow out the Super Skunks just to see how they were. I could not find any grow journals on them but it seems like everyone was talking shit about the strain with nothing to go on. So, I am growing some indoors and some outdoors in an effort to share how they will turn out or even if they are worth growing.

So far they are great plants that are easy to grow and take a lot of stress training without any side effects.

The only problem I see is that they are 3 month flowering plants! That's kinda long but if the end result is nice then it's worth it cus I love Sativas :)
