Nooby Designing Grow Box - Help Please!

I am about to build a grow box that will be used for flowering (SOG) and for Vegetation for clones and a couple of mother plants. Here's the dimensions I was planning on:

Total Dimensions of Box - 72" Tall x 48" Wide x 30" Deep
Flowering Area - 48"Tall x 48" Wide x 30" Deep
Veg Area for Clones and Mothers - 24" Tall x 48" Wide x 30" Deep

I will be using a 400W HPS for the flowering area but am a little stuck on deciding what lights to use in the veg room. I am leaning towards 2-4 150W CFL's (40W usage per light) or 1 or 2 - 70W HPS lights.

Here's my questions:
1) Is the veg box @ 24" tall, tall enough to house a couple of mother plants?
2) What would be better to use for light in the veg room? 2-4 - 150W CFL's or 1 or 2 - 70W HPS?

Thanks!

My grow cab has very similar dimensions to yours; here's what I have:

Flower: 400w HPS w/ cooltube etc

Veg: 6 42W 6500K CFL's (Daylight)

2' is not enough height to keep a mom, youll need around 4' minimum.

I prefer the daylight CFL's over an HPS for veggin becaus ethey provide the necessary blue light for good vegging.

Hey purplehazin,

Thanks for the help! Do you think Bonsai Mum's would fit in that 2' veg box?
