noob question about hood

the glass cover i had to take off the hood to install the mh bulb..do i put it back on or leave it off now

it's a sun system yield master 2...was only choice i had at my local shop

If your not air cooling your bulbs then you don't need to put it back on if you don't want to waste the time (just save the glass until you do air cool). On my hoods putting the glass back on is a pain in the ass. You literally have to remove the frame around the glass, get everything aligned back on right, and then hope and pray the holes on the frames match up to screw threading...otherwise you have to start over till it does.

Yea if its that much of a pain you dont really need it its mainly there to protect the bulb mine I just slide right in no problem my 400w there is no glass just the hood
