Noob needing help please!

hey guys I got my ak 48 seeds today from Nirvana.Ok so it says flowering time is 8-9 weeks My question is how long do I veg for???---thanks

You can start 12/12 from seed if you want. Or veg for four to six weeks. I always start by figuring how high I want the canopy and how close to the light source is it?

as much or as little as you want. Depends on what your plans are. You gotta plan right?

Top em & veg for 5 or 6 weeks youll have some nice ass plants or you can
veg as long as you want. 12/12 will start em budding

4-6 weeks vegg time is average but it's really all about how long you wanna go and the amount of height you have to work with.

What is your room size?
Light wattage?
container size?

If you have a 600w veg them until sexual maturity then flower them.

When you switch to 12/12 the plant will go through a period of very rapid growth called the 'stretch'. In this time the plant may double or triple in size.

If you are growing indoors, you have to start with the max height you can accomodate in your grow area. Find a grow thread for this strain and find out how much it stretches. If it doubles it's size then you veg to half your final height.

You can veg to a larger size if you do some topping and training. Look at threads that talk about FIM, LST, Supercropping & SCROG.

You can pretty much start 12/12 whenever you like. The recieved wisdom is that it's best to wait until the plant shows preflowers and alternating nodes but some growers start 12/12 from seed! There is no fixed time. It all depends on how you run your grow op. From what I've seen 2 weeks to a month is typical. Someone above said a month to 6 weeks. It all works.
