I think my VPD is affecting a lot of this as well... question, my light obviously can be dimmed as long as the plants get a good amount of light/ppfd, does the brightness matter if it can produce the light needed being closer and at a lower wattage? Sounds silly and like I answered my own question, and most likely overthinking a very basic concept, I just need to figure out a way to reduce my temps.. as I think they're one of the main culprits. Plants haven't grown at all and are all looking like they're dying now. :(

that's the calcium in my water...... lmao
well there's part of your problem i'm sure...to much cal might be locking out some other things...but i'm not a chemist....I'm sure there are some in this forum that canm chime in...but if your water is so hard it's flaking on the side of your pot how could you possibly know what to add to it?

As far as VPD...goes people like to bring that up and I think it definitely has some effect...but marijuana is a weed....if it has nutes and water it'll grow....Humidity levels will improve growth rates but it won't stop it from growing unless it's super extreme..... not saying it's not important because it is...but that's not the cause of your problems....that's more of an optimization thing not a troublesooting thing..unless it's root rot...or just severally stunted seedling or clone....

Obviously this is just my opinion and since this is a forum I'm giving it. The reason I believe what i'm saying is because I just went thru an excessively long grow period because I messed some things up...but humidity was never a issue...I had it everywhere from 20% to 90% in veg. plant might have look happier and grown faster when it was about 60 in veg and 40 in flower...but unless it's super dry causing your plant to uptake more water inturn more nutrients I think you'd be seeing more burning of your leafs. Or Overly huge fan leaves if the humidity was too high....neither you have going on there....

That's my thought as well after seeing how much was accumulating throughout my tent. Can they have too much Calcium? Wonder what I need to do to counteract this issue. Besides using better water. haha

Regarding the VPD, thank you for that! I thought it was pretty important to their health and growth. Specially given my setup.

With the light turned down in wattage and lowered closer to the plants, the lower heat is definitely making them happier, there's large differences in their appearance today than how they looked Monday morning before I changed the light setup to reduce tent heat.

Well the issues continue. lol I stumbled upon a thread on here actually regarding pretty much the exact issues I have (somewhat) with high-intensity LED's and Super soil mixes... everything I am seeing on my issues, they keep pointing to a general over abundance of nutes in the soil, regardless of my overwatering, lights being too over powered and even the temp/RH (VPD) issues, the soil is just far too hot for my cannabis with just some perlite mixed in still, specially for autos I think, as they're obviously a get-up-and-go from the start and if they're not started well off, then they will fail and be stunted badly, like mine. I will post pics in a post below from my phone of them taken just a few minutes ago.

Man all good, first grows are the worst. I'm going to be honest, my experience with humidity was completely different. I felt like my plant grew regardless of the humidity...but I noticed increased growth in vigor when the humidity was higher. In flower, especially during the last few weeks i've intentionally had the humidity waaay waay down. How do the buds feel? Are they sticky? I added tons of black-strap molasses during flower, and went way way low on the nitrogen, so mine are starting the slightly yellow but again I think i'm right on schedule for where in flower i'm at. I think your problems has more to do with some sort of nutrient lock out or imbalance and less with humidity or vpr or whatever....I know for a fact low humidity is fine during flower and high humidity wouldn't negagtively impact growth just maybe trichome production and encourage fungal bud growth but thats IMO

Buds and fan leaves are SUPER sticky! :)

I actually found my problem shortly after posting this thread and my post on my local FB Cannabis growing group... I was watching a video of some guy watering his plants, a literal fuck-ton, to me that is. Reason why? I haven't upped my watering since I started. So I have essentially deprived my poor babies of water for about 50-60 days now.... My regime was 16 oz. every 3-4 days, typically I was watering every Monday and Friday every week for the last month and a half... So I figured it out, my dumbass, who's never grown anything before, managed to UNDER water my plants, not overwater. lol What a waste of time.

That's why I popped 6 more seeds of the Forgotten Cookies cause of how well it's doing without the correct amount of water, so it surely should do great now this second actual "real" grow goes. lol

First time grows (in a long time) are a pain, as I am currently experiencing. Threads like yours are so beneficial, as your problems, and how you deal with them, resolve them, all give us (me) knowledge. Thanks for posting, especially the pics you most probably are not the proudest of. It's a great learning curve.
