No THC showing on buds

Hi all,

I'm currently growing a batch of NL; I'm in week 5 of flowering; but showing no signs of THC.

A little history.

This is my first time growing in pots. I used to grow using the NFT system but changed when I set up new growing room. Not used to keeping so sharp an eye on things ie feed and PH.

A couple of weeks ago I had a PH and feed problem where it caused chlorosis in the plants. With leeching the plants, lowering my PH and giving the plants epsom salts, does seem to have fixed the plants of chlorisis. Turned back to green from a sickly yellow colour.

What's happening now is that the plants are into week 5 of flowering, showing plenty bud but with no visible THC crystals.

Any ideas? Have I ruined them? Can I get them looking as they should? I've searched up and down the net and found nothing to suggest what I'm doing wrong. A lot of contradictions that's just getting me confused.

Any help would be great.

Thanks....

I'm have the same issue on one of my la diva autoflowers. Buds are developing nicely, but there are no trichs on the leaves and very few on the bud itself. This plant has some serious yellowing going on, like I've never seen, no burnt tips, but the whole plant is a bright pale yellow. It only has 2 more weeks so I haven't tryed to fix it. Curious to know the reason why it happened to just one plant.

Often times a lack of trichs is at least in part due to lousy lighting and environmental conditions. Plants react to their environment and if it is not conducive to what we desire plants will not react in ways we desire. Genetics is only a start and environment is what then takes over and makes or breaks plant results.

I have 7 other plants in the same room on the same nutes, and they are all still green and healthy. I don't think its environment.

I was talking about "No THC showing on buds," not green and healthy or not. It was my error if I misunderstood something .. sorry.

No its both for me, its yellow and has no trichs, buds look nice though. The leaves although completely yellow have strong healthy stems. Its like it lacks chlorophyll or something, and mabye trichs can't form on these leaves.

My environment is pretty good. 400 watt lighting, humidity between 35% and 45% and my temp is between 22 and 28 c.

My PH was 7.1 straight from the tap, but I'm adding a spot of PH down and lowering it to 5.5ish

Anyway, the question still stands. Does anyone think these might pull round. It's been suggested that they look like they are only a couple of weeks into flowering not 5, and that the process is only delayed.

DSCF0185.jpgDSCF0168.jpg Not the best of pics, cant seem to focus. Mmmmm, I wonder why - maybe the fact that I had just smoked a couple of Shiva Skunk bangers.

Anyway, I've been flushing them for the past week with PH 5.5 and half strength feed and the plants look a bit better than they were. Showing signs of trichomes. But is it a case of better late than never? I'm now in week 6 of 7.

Do you think I can flower them for another couple of weeks (say 8 or 9 weeks total)

Looks like you have at least 2 more weeks to me - does your camera have a macro function?

I was having issues with a N.L. plant. I have thread.. have no idea how to link but Im sure you can find it.

Anyways, I have had harvested 2 of the three plants & the last one seems to just go dormant. Its been sitting there for 2-3 weeks just doing nothing & I looked at her this morning & low & behold there's changes. More (or more visible) trichs & they are milky/amber. I haven't looked at them for about 3 days so I was very happy. I think she's finally ready to chop this weekend. that will make it 14 weeks on 12/12 which frmo what I've gotten on other posts is WAY too long for an indica. Her sisters were really good smoke though.

I think your plants look OK if not a little behind on schedule. Looks pretty typical at four weeks old not 5+ weeks.

This may sound silly, but has the plant had any, any what so ever, light during the dark period of 12 hrs? That can cause trich to devlope at very slow rate if at all, yet buds bud.
Then again if grown from seed could just be that seed,,a mutation that isnt any good. Fucking evolution.
Take it easy..
