No side branches

I moved my plants outside and they have not produced nearly the branches they did when under the lights. I started the little one A couple weeks after the bigger one... It has no side branches whatsoever after 6 weeks. The bigger plants you can see have lots of the side branches from when they were under the light but you can clearly see the top half as minimal branches from when I move it out to the Sun..... Any idea why this would be. They get about 5 hours of direct Sunlight

All strains are different. I have a Trainwreck that has 5 foot long side branches, and the Boreal Lights has many short side branches.
If you top the plant, you'll get more side branches. But don't wait too long to do it.

it seems odd they would branch well under a 300w led but hardly branch at all in the sun....same plant same genetics. All 3 are the same lemon kush

What kind of light were they under inside. They look like they went on a growth spurt once they were under the sunlight.

300w mars. THe nodes are tight around 2 inches and grew branches as I would expect under the light. Once I moved them outside I got very little branching, almost none, and around 8 inch spacing on the nodes.
The package says " break out your orchard ladder" for this species. So I don't know if its normal for such wide spacing between nodes and its just a giant plant.
The whole thing seems a little odd to me, almost backwards

LST them to “ broaden “ growth of plant , it will force inner areas to go vertical. Main top can be cropped to temper it a bit , but seems to be strain as node spacing is looking spaced far apart.
Next time with this strain ... top the bitch at the main.

Also ..... when time comes to flip her ... she will stretch something nasty. So a little pre-planning now will squash any surprises like clearance issues of indoor areas.

Imo .... and this is my opinion only ....
I would cut top down to one of the lower node areas and keep vegging it. Again just my opinion because plant looks very healthy.

I'm all about LST, will never top and stunt/slow my plants again like I did when I first started

Is this a sativa?
Going from 18+ to outdoors will make them stretch. Top or fim+wider pot and theres natural hormones that help too from kelp, alfalfa etc
