No sew DIY fabric planters, soft pots, air pruning bags etc

So I found a genius idea on YouTube and had to spread it. It's how to make felt garden pots with a bag sealer and landscape cloth. A whole 3'x50' roll of “20 year" landscape cloth is 20$. Amazon sells pots for 3$ for 10 from China or like 8-17$ a piece from anyone local and with decent quality. The real savings come with making the 3-7 gallon pots.

Buy some high quality landscaping cloth, the black poly-whatever kind and make them into soft pots with either a vacuum packer with a heat sealer on it.

I double it up and melt two edges together then fold the bottom, like the bottom of a juice box (two little triangles with the points touching half way). You can make 60+ or so half gallon planters for 20$ and 33 of the 4-5 gallon planters. If you're making a ton of them, it comes down to 30-60 cents each and you can do like 30 per hour with a vacuum packer. If you got serious and had a cutting table and a manual bag heat sealer (like I'm doing) it'd be double or triple that amount.

Don't buy the eshanmu sealer, it doesn't work as well as the vacuum packer. The wire is too hot and compromises the bag.
