No one mentioned slugs!

Three off my baby girls are dead, full of slugs after their first night out! Now, I've taken action against the slimy pricks, but are there any other secrets anyone would like to share with me?

This happened to me to right after it rained. I lost 8/15 seedlings!!!!!!!

Spread rock salt around the plant(s).

an open can/cup of beer barried in the ground wilnear your grow willl trap/attract them inside the can causing them to drown. also they wont cross a copper barrier.

Copper wire will do the trick wind some around the bottom of the stalk and they will not cross it. I have used it for a few years on my outdoor and no problems. Stops snails too! You can buy a mesh like I use from these guys, it expands as the stalk gets bigger.
