No frost?

This sativa is growing right next to 2 indicas and the indicas are doing well. They are a lot shorter, though but they are frosty as hell. The sativa doesn't seem to have any frost.

Is that just because sativas take longer to flower? This one has been flowering for more than a month now. I need to see some trichomes. Any ideas?

Setup:

400W HPS
Holland Secret G-M-B
Temp: ~75-81
DWC

I also wanna add that the buds aren't dense at all and the calyxes are tiny. Most of the plant consists of hairs, leaves and stems.

sativa's will take at least 16 weeks to finish its just barley getting started

12-14wk i dont know about 16 weeks that's a shit ton of time 16weeks is about 4 months.

anyhow...all the factors contribute to how your plant looks like: lights, temperature, air movement, nutrients, feeding schedule....

....and 81 is kinda hot. and hot =fluffy bud. hot=not ''frosty'' ...or how u like to call it. try keeping yout temp not more than 75 in the day, and 58-60 in the night and you'll see frost

trombon, I have 2 more indicas in the same room. They are quite frosty so I don't think its only the temperature. 81 is max. It hardly reaches 81.

By the way, the plant is huge. Could that be another reason why flowering takes longer?

Also, how much do you guys pay per qrt of nutrients? I pay $13/bottle and I get a qrt bottle of Micro and Bloom, so total = $26

The sativa will get plenty of trichomes, but yes it will take longer to mature. Depending on the strain and the individual it could take 8 to 20 weeks to finish flowering. Yields will generally be lower and buds will be less dense. Its good that you are seeing a lot of hairs, more hairs means more calyxs, which is where the thickest layer of trichomes will grow. Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately, the plant still isn't pushing any trichomes. I'm thinking about cutting her down and starting my next grow. She occupies so much space and I'm not even sure if this plant will ever mature. On top of that I have to buy more and more nutrients, as the root mass seems to grow steadily.

It will mature, it will just take a long time, i could see 16 weeks with that size of plant, the hairs are super long, and it needs to put on lots of mass/density on those buds. Try moving the light cycle to 11/13, i have heard this works.

where are you getting all your bad info ?if you stay between 75-85 your golden

So I guess I keep waiting. They've been flowering for almost 3 months now....

they're finally swelling up, after 3 months of flowering. my gosh, that's a whole lotta bud tho..... i was hoping for 2oz. max... I might end up with 20oz. the way things are looking now. will post pics later.
