Even with spraying just before lights on I had problems with the heat of the water evaporating damaging my plants, another reason i gave it up entirely.
As for BS answers that's because RIU isn't a text book with set answers, it's a community, people try and help each other. Big surprise, people are fallible.
Burn on your plants after a foliar feed means that you have too many salts or too much ammonia present in your water, that's what causes burns. Tone back your nute concentration=no burn. I foliar feed outside, at high noon, on a day when i's 95F and clear, with no problems.
