satvia's take forever compaired to indica, they strech like mad, with fluffy buds and not dense ones likes indica.
just use 12/12 cycle anything else will slow growth overall.
you can also add some molasses to your water every so often this will promote bud swollen, or a subsitute is brown sugar.
seems like time is the only hindering factor for you....wish i could get my hands on something like NL

cool thanks grygost, nice to hear from someone with a pure sativa. I'll probably switch mine around the same time you did. Looks like I'm going to have to harvest before the girls are completely ripe =(. Anyone got any advise on what I should do?

If you have to harvest before its ready, try your best to wait until the very last minute to do so. I love Sativa's because the right ones give you such a heady energetic high that you can actually function. Also I noticed with some sativas the high can last for several hours versus some indica's I smoked that locked me down and only lasted maybe 2 hours. Good luck in whatever you do but please try to hold out the harvest, you will be very happy you did. OR check the top cola and the trichs, you could get away with half cloudy half clear, but it wont be as good a high :(

Edited to add......The top cola on my Sativa is very dense, not fluffy, it all depends on the strain.

yeah I'm gonna hold off for as long as I can, smell is my biggest issue because i'm in my parents house so don't want to stink the whole place up. I've barely any pong off mine and their 5 weeks into flowering today... When did yours start to stink grygost?

Mine started to stink 4 weeks into veg, then it stopped during the 1st 4 weeks of flower, and now its starting to smell up my room something fierce, considering its almost done. If you are worried about smell, then make sure when you harvest and dry that it is not in the house at all. I made the mistake on my 1st harvest of drying in my office and it stunk up my entire house 0.o

it'll be a shame if you have to harvest early, coz youve obviously been doing a good job so far and they are gorgeous ladies you have.its a shame you dont have more room to get the most out of um.
oh well, you live and you learn.
