If you are getting salt build up your soil is dead or you are over fertilizing. There's nothing wrong when an old leaf on the bottom turns yellows during flower. his new growth is green that old growth tells you nothing.
Wrong. If you feed with salts Nd don't get runoff you will get salt buildup.

I agree there is nothing wrong with a leaf turning yellow. This is not the case. If you look close it is spreading slightly and will continue to do so.

Hey so the yellowing is happening very fast along side with some purple spots showing up, are these symptons that suggest another illness?

Undo the hooks and let it stand up to get the leaves out of the dirt.

Just leave the leaf til it falls off.

It may have dry spots in the soil.

How much do you water and how do you water?
I water half a gallon for the 3 gallon pots and 1 gallon water for 5 gallon pots, i usually water once a week when the first 1-2 inch of soil dries. I know it seems longer than it should but i m using the promix with 30 percent perlite and also fabric pots so i have no idea why it takes so long

I bet you got dry spots and possible salt build up. They need a thorough watering. Set them in a tub or something and water real good. I suggest watering in stages. Every time. Water once lightly and again about 10 minutes later.
With those cloth pots it will be harder to re wet if they have dry spots. Water them several times real good. Not huge amounts. The amount you are using already. Just do it several times in one day. It won't hurt them. Over watering is only a problem if it stays wet all the time.

I think you have a combo of dry spots\ under watering and salt build up. Those steps should fix it.

When you do set the pits in trays water until good run off and then dump the trays.

Hey man thx so much for such detailed instruction and i ll do exactly as u said. Only problem is i just watered them the 2 nights before and the soil is still almost wet to the surface, should i do the stage watering rn or til the next time they need it?

what?....please dont tell other people that. And its flowering..also glad ur listening to Mr Bundy.
So how would u explain regular photos when they veg the just gain growth and height, once the pre flower shows up the plant dont increase that much in size right? Autos starts to pre flower from week 2-3, but they still grow very fast and the buds actually develop very slowly until the "veg" period ends in around 5-6 when the plant dont gain any height anymore and focus and flowering then finish around week 7-10 depending on strain.

The photo sativa's that i grow tend to keep growing (stretching) for around a week or two after the first preflower.

isnt that why you feed veg nutes for the first two weeks of flower (for the N) in a Photo?

Ive never grown an auto..just thought they went from veg to flower like a normal plant but without the light cycle dependancy

Yea bro u have it right mostly but they do work differently! For autos u cant be feeding flowering nutes for the first 2 weeks of flowering or it would seriously kill the yield... i ve personally been through that...

Wait a bit and see how they respond.
Hey so its been a few days since this post but here is the current look of the plant, it is happen on another one of my plant, at the exact same spot ( fan leaves from 3rd knot).
Do we still think it is dry spots and salt at bot?
Thx a ton man, helped greatly.

And here is the other plant, you can see the same leave yellowing and drying up, and some higher level fan leaves are yellowing too .

They do. They don't veg and flower at the same time.

An auto does just like a photo. It vegges for a bit (different things can influence the veg time) it then goes to preflower then the stretch and then flower.

I think he is considering the stretch as veg.

They burn through a lot of n in stretch.

Can you turn the led off and get me some pics in natural or blue floro light?

The color of the led is throwing me off.

+1 on the feed, water, feed method. As for the watering amount, it takes time and is strain dependent. I wait till the top soil gets dry to the touch for soil. For coco Its everyday watering. And if your soil do not water till 30% run off. Coco yes water them bitches. Soil you girls will get root rot and soggy, and stunt growth. Roots need air, and unless you have a ton of pearlite and moss mixed in there your soil will stay saturated to long. Watering amounts also change according to the stage the plant is in, longer in bloom the more water they will drink.

a meter is the only way to know for sure......and they're cheap.

See that space between the fabric and the soil? if you don't fill that in and press it down when you water it will run down the side and you will get uneven watering. If you let the top soil get dry it repels water so when you water it doesn't go into the soil, peat moss is really bad about that. Keep the top moist use a spray bottle then when you water it goes into the soil.
