Nirvana's Papaya 400w MH grow.

I will be starting the 36 hour darkness saturday at 6pm. I will then set the timer for on at 6 am and off at 6 pm. The plants survived a little fall they took last week. The shelf they are on fell and they went down about 3 feet to the floor. All was ok. You may also notice there is a little improvement down to my grow area. There was a few light leaks during my vegging. I had some 2'x2' cieling tiles that I had left over from some work I did this summer. I screw them to the wall and then taped all the seams with aluminum tape. I also put a ceiling on it and a curtain to close it up from the rest of the closet. I have about 5' of hieght in it. Should be plenty. One of the plants is about 13" high and the other is 10". The LST plant has plenty of branches now so I'll let it flower now. We'll see how it goes. I also got my 10-54-10 Shultz bloom plus today so I should be set to go. Hopefully no males. Keep watching and wish me luck.

how do you like your light? do you have the MH warm bulb? how high is it from your tops? Nice grow so far.....I have the same light BUT i have the warm bulb....heard great things about it.

this reminds me of weed growing inside of a schools ceiling haha... theyre lookin good... you have the most interesting grow cab ive seen.

I don't have the warm bulb. Since I started I have been using things accesible to me for free or for as cheap as possible. The bulb came with the light which I got for free still in the box unused. I have heard that MH bulbs make the buds a little lighter than HPS but more potent. It is all for me so wieght doesn't matter. Thanks for saying it looks unique. I have always been against the grain. When all the kids were getting the Nintendo, I had to have the Sega. The games really sucked. Thats why noone else had it. I like to call my grow "the Ghetto Grow".

Well my 36 hour dark period was over at 6 this morning. Everything went fine. I turned on the lights and took a close look at all 3 plants and this is what i found:
I found them on all 3 of the plants. I put the pics up in the Noob section and was told that they are indeed females. I hope I don't get my hopes up just to be told differently. I am so sorry to hear about Mary's plants. You should be proud of yourself. I hope they are taken care of as well as you did. I dedicate these to your lost friends. Let me know your opinions on the sex. I mixed up a gallon of 10-54-10 1/2 strength and added a tsp of molasses. I'll give it a shot of it when it dries out. Later.

I thought about getting some ph up and down. But I was looking into the soil that I bought at the farm store and learned a few things. It is in fact considered to be "soiless" because it is 90 percent peat moss and the other 10 percent is sand, perlite, vermiculite and also there is an acidic and alkaline compounds in it to ph the water for you. I am going to try it to see if it seems to do the job. I saw on another thread someone saying that all they use for all of their grows is Premiere Pro-Mix and that is what I bought a while back. He said he swears by it. I am impressed with it already after how the plants improved after using it. Plus it was only $20 for a 3.4 cubic ft compressed bail. Thanks for the encouragement and advice and keep watching.

Just a quick update and a few pics. It is day 4 of flowering. They are still growing nice and fast. One thing I noticed awhile back is the fact that the plants took a while to grow but once they took off all of the nodes started to alternate. So at least the plants were "ready" to flower when they did and weren't forced into it. At least thats a good thing. I did notice also that the very tips of all the leaves have small brown areas on them. I think instead of half strength on the first feeding I should have gone quarter. I'll just flush it with water next time and add water to the remaining nute mixture to top it off and thin it out. Aside from that all is normal and my temps in the closet are at about 80 with the lights on and get down to around to the low 60's with them off. I like the fact that the there is a nice fluctuation in the temps. More like nature. There you go. More pics when they get more sexy looking.

Everything has been going great so far. These bitches are growing fast. I needed to move my shelf rails down the wall so I will be able to lower the shelf all the way down to the floor. I have started to try and see if the plants can handle nutes every watering and so far it has done alright. They have been really thirsty lately. Every other day the soil is bone dry. I give all 3 plants water and it ends up being about 3/4 of a gallon. I am now using 1 tbs molasses and 75% of the suggested nutes per gallon. I am using the ratio for potted plants outdoors and giving it 75% of that. I took the girls out for a walk today and set them on the kitchen table to get a good look at them in natural sunlight. I cut some of the dead leaves off and cleaned them up a bit. There is some real nice flowering all over them now and they are starting to like their supposed to. They are between 16-18 inches tall now. I am looking to get some seeds soon also. I like the prices and the rep of attitude so I think I might go with Nirvana Super Skunk. It comes to just under $50 for 10 seeds, shipping and a t-shirt. Here are a few pics of the girls.

awsome save man very nice work withthe mg save same thing happend to me but i flush the soil like 20 times untill i got the green color bac and just started nuting and they turned out pretty good so good luck <<<subcribed>>

Hey thanks D. This has been an uphill fucking battle from the very start. But I am not giving up on this shit. I have nothing else to do now that I have been laid-off for 2 weeks. All I do is fuck around at home and play the housewife. My woman works nights so I take care of all the kids at night and my plants all day. I've been thinking about settihg up the other half of the closet for veg. My closet is 5'wide by 7' tall and 2' deep. I can fit 9, 3 gallon grow bags under the 400w for flower and plenty of room on the other side for veg. Nothing better to do. I just got a 6 month old pit-bull tonight. Now I have 3 dogs to keep me busy along with my plants.

Everything is still great. flowers are developing more and more. There are plenty of nice bud sites forming everywhere. The smell is getting better and better. More to come.....

The girls have been growing quick. They are getting taller every day. The buds are stacking up nice and tight also. They seem to like the ratio of nutes and molasses. Right now it is cold as fuck out and snowing. I bet Kevin is nice and warm down in vacation land. I hope everything is going great for you and I am sure your plants are doing fine at home. I'll keep going along with my girls and hopefully nothing goes wrong from here on out. Heres a new pic of a random bud.

Hey thanks alot. I have been bummed about getting laid off and just sit around the house and stare at my plants all day. I am glad they are finally looking good. I have permission from the wife to order more seeds so next week I'll place a new order.
