f2 means filial 2, second filial generation. f1 are two separate lines breeding, f2 are the offspring of an f1, f3 means filial 3 and so on. f2's are more unstable than f1 hybrids because of the recessives that are displayed in f2 generations. f2's can be as stable as f2's with parents whom are very similar and have corresponding dominant/recessive traits. you can even get 2 plants whom offspring display traits only one line in the f1 originally had once you breed to f3's (like autoflowering trait) and lots of breeding will need to be done for you to know exactly what traits the parents pass on.

in prior testing with breeding, i noticed the best method is to test the best males on multiple females but grow 2 females at a time to compare and 2 males so you will have 4 sets of progeny to look through, you may have many more contenders the more the better when it comes to breeding. more variation

so a filial is a generation? im really interested in breeding. i'm probably not going to get a chance to try it but it's still interesting to learn.

Yeah.. I buy direct from Nirvana. Other posts are correct though. NOt the most potent stuff, but certainly sticky & VERY crystally. Very smelly too. Its funny. It almost seems like it should be MUCH stronger than it was. I just assumed I did something wrong with the grow because of that. Taste, smell & look was stellar but potency was lacking.

I agree, everything about the ICE I grew looked right. But wasn't the potency I was looking for. However a friend said it was one of the most enjoyable highs for him. So really more of a preference thing. I had no problem with germ rates or herm. So they are a fine company by my standards.

i've got 100 seeds of Bubblelicious, i plan on finding the best males and females and test their progeny, those that make the best f2's will be kept and i'll do the same with the f2's until i reach F4 and have a stable line that i can be satisfied with outbreeding. gonna take about 2-3 years.
How did it go with the bubblegum line? I really want a good bubblegum plant, was wondering if you had any luck?

This thread is 6 years old so might not get a reply on that. I did grow the bubblicious back in 2009 and it was good, it smelled like bubblegum but I didn't get the flavor. I bet you could find a nice female if you pop 20 beans and search through them. I only did the 10 regs.

It's all good. I've done the same thing a bunch of times. Hope you have good luck with the beans.
