Hey Fellow Pot Head's

Heres a few pics from my 9-11-11 Nirvana Blackjack harvest.
Setup Details:
Glowlabs GL120 Tent (48"x48"x78")
400w MH (veg) 400w HPS (flower) Air vented hood
4.3 gallon Air-pots w/ FFOF, FF Light Warrior, Perlite and lime added
Nutes = FF Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom, Bat guano, Heavey Weight (carbs)
R.O Water only w/Cal-Mag plus added each time

Started out with 5 fem beans all 5 sprouted (gave 1 away) and these ladies were vegged about 5 weeks under a 400w MH. I topped all the plants just above the 2nd or 3rd node. Vegged untill all plants were about 12-14" tall. Once all showed signs of sex I let the flowering begin:)

The plants were very easy to grow and seems to love a good feeding. Plants did not stretch as much as I thought, they ended up being about 26-28" tall. I really dont stick to any set watering or feeding schedule as I just read the plants and make my feeding/watering determinations from there. During the veg stage I used Grow Big and big bloom almost every watering (heavy watering maybe 1 once every 3-5days) Once flowering begin I started adding Heavy Weight (weeks1,3,5,7) as well as Tiger Bloom every watering. Plants seemed to like a good feeding and I was able to keep them dark green untill the last few weeks when I stopped all feedings and flushed with water only. I did have one major issue while in flowering, at week 6 I had a timer malfuction that left the light on 24/7 for 5 days..........I didnt relaize what was going on, since I never check on them unless I know the light is on (glad I did on day 5) anyway I think this prolonged my flowering and caused some heat stress issues (as my babies were bone dry) and after trimming the buds up, I could see that some of the buds had alot of leaf matter that seems to be caused by reverting to Veg growth during the 5 days of 24/7 light......its just a guess, Overall all the buds are very dense and seem fine.......only a few had this leafy issue. I had been checking the trichomes with a 60-100x scope (75%milkey, 15% amber and a few still clear) and decided at day 75 to shut them down and let them sit 72 hours in complete darkness for a 9-11 harvest.

So in the end I spent my 9-11 trimming and watching football......not a bad way to spend a Sunday, but I must say Im glad its done;)

I set 150grams of wet bud in RO water for water curing (my stealth stash)

The rest was hung back into the tent for air drying/curing.

I do not have a wet weight, but would love to hear some guess on what you might think the dry/cured weight will be.

I will update this thread with final weights and a detailed smoke report once they have a good cure.

Thanks: StlMatt
(any and all coments/questions welcomed)

PS. Cant wait to get started on the next Grow (Sterling Haze) with my new 600w top of the line setup:)

Scientia Cannabis
70% - 80% of the wet (freshly cut) cannabis is water weight.
About 4/5 if you prefer.

150g wet = 30g - 40g dried (depends how much you dry it of course).

Thanks everyone.

There was to much there to weight it all....and at the end of my 7 hour trim session all I wanted to do was get it up and drying, I only weighed out a very small amount (150g wet) do to some water curing (stealth smoke), and I know that the water cured will have a net return of about 22g when finished and dried........the rest is drying in the tent now and should be jared up and curing by the end of the week. I am hoping for 10oz of finished product.......and a few oz's of fine trimmings.

WOW, maybe my pics are deceiving......as I will cry if I only have 4oz. I am for sure I have at least 8oz as I know I have atleast 10 buds that weighed 50+g wet. My last grow had a harvest of 8oz and I really think this one is better, as the buds are really dense. I guess only time will tell. I will post a final weight in a few weeks.

you guys are fucking crazy that are saying this guy has only 3, 4, 5 ozs. that is at least a half-pound. id say 9-11 ozs maybe even 12. that is fucking really nice harvest especially with 400w and in soil with organics based nutrients. when did you use the bat gauno and how? u have it listed under nutes but dont say how you use it. and you weren't using CO2 either im shocked +rep

Just had a jar of Blackjack and it's a real treat. Looks like a very good harvest, that stuff was surprisingly dense and aromatic and flavor to match. Well done!

I use the bat guano at weeks 3 and 5 of flowering, I mix 1/4 cup per gallon of water and let it sit for 1 day.....as it doesnt disolve very well. I do not use any CO2, but I do have great air-flow and my temps never get above 76 degrees.
